If you want to see the power of the ocean and the beauty of nature at sunset, don't miss this. Dress warm. It gets windy up there.

A stunningly beautiful location on the Pacific with a nearby nature trail along the tidal waters of Bodega Harbor. Not crowded, relaxing, with a refreshing breeze (but not for swimming with water temperatures in the low 50s). Good for the soul.

Although there is not much to see (the school house is actually a private residence) it is fascinating to see it there, next to the church, just like in the iconic movie (only that the movie cheated with the location - schoolhouse and church are not in Bodega Bay and visible from the water, but in the nearby town of Bodega, a few miles away). It felt like time travel back to a simpler time - and yes, there were some seagulls too.

Cozy water view tasting room that was perfect on a cold day. Michael was helpful in directing us to a wine we’d enjoy. The other customers seemed to know this spot and were welcoming. A really good selection of wines for tastings.

This is the old church featured in The Birds movie. We could not go inside but the exterior of the church seemed to be well-maintained. We walked around the church and took some pictures. Not many people around.

A charming bell tower tribute to a 7 year old boy's untimely death in Italy. A touching story of how his organ donation helped four other children live. Sculpture was done by San Francisco sculptor Bruce Hasson, a good friend's son.

A must see beach and rock formations on the Pacific coast. The drive to the beach is a winding one lane road and just keep going you will get there.

This place is amazing! Make it your first stop if you are traveling through. The help I received and sites shown on clear maps was super helpful, the staff recommended a number of sites both in town and on the way back to where I was staying that would have been missed otherwise. The sites related to Alfred Hitchcock’s “The Birds” were clearly indicated as were restaurant locations. I hit them all and was extremely satisfied with my experience in Bodega Bay!

We were all first or second timers. We spent two hours fishing in the pond and had a lot of fun. There are many picnic tables and we didn't have any issue finding one for us. The staff was friendly and the guy cleaning our fishes answered all the kids questions about fish anatomy.

To give a ballpark estimate, we were a group of seven and got 11 fishes using two rods. It ended up costing around 16$ per fish all included.

Great ride, part on the road and then up into the headlands to Bodega Head. Suggest starting at Ginocchio’s Barbeque. Pretty flat road road with not too much traffic around the inlet and then winding up to Bodega Head. Can get pretty windy up there but if you go on a nice days the views are memorable. Single track shared use paths up on the top take you around. I don’t know maybe 12 miles round trip. Nice!

I really enjoy staying at Westside Park but something needs to be done with the campsites such as level them out and put gravel in. During the rainy times the sites have pools of water in them. The roads also have pools of water. It is obvious they have had little done to improve them. The sites are so uneven, I fell and injured my arm. Something NEEDS to be done to make the visit more pleasant.

A very nice nature trail between the beach and the Lodge at Bodega Bay. Romantic, soothing, plenty of birdwatching or just enjoying the views.

This beach is lovely and there's so much more to see and do in Sonoma Coast State Park. There is camping, picnic areas and hiking trails. At Bodega Head there is a 1.9 mile nature trail. The views from Bodega Head are breathtaking. It's worth the ride to see the giant waves break over the rocks. It's also a perfect spot to see the whale migration in the spring and fall.

Make sure to walk down to the beach and see all of the cool driftwood sculptures that are all over the beach!

If you are in the area, this one mile trail gives you access to a relatively private beach, and at low tide, you can navigate through some rocks and walk another 3-4 miles along Doran Beach. Decent parking area, restrooms, and mostly uncrowded. I still like Limantour beach the best, but for Petaluma folks, this is the closet beach access.
