- LiaKerGoleta, CA38 contributionsTriple rock is in our neighborhood and it's a great place to get a beer and hang out with friends. Wish they had more vegan items, but I appreciate the couple that they do have which are solid, so never worried that I'll go hungry. They told me once that all their beers are unfiltered and thus, vegan as well.Written April 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Karen JSeattle, WA7 contributionsI have the pleasure of visiting Berkeley, California at least twice a year on Business. Each time, we ALWAYS visit Raleigh's. This particular visit we were there to watch the Baseball Game.
The atmosphere at Raleigh's is welcoming. The food is appropriately priced and always delicious. "Spicy Garlic Wings".....the absolute best!!! They are full of garlic and flavor.
All servers are attentive but one particular server, Morgan, has been amazing. She is friendly, professional and very engaging. She makes our visit fun with her great sense of humor. She checks on us frequently to ensure we have what we need. Morgan is simply a lovely lady and makes each and every visit a memorable one. Morgan is truly an asset to the Raleigh family. Thanks Morgan!Written September 6, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Really friendly staff and nice selection of clean tasty beers.
Kid and dog friendly patio. And a 75 degree day in March helped a lot.
Patio had Irish dinner being served so not sure of the regular fare.
Tasted five beers and all were good and to style.
Definitely coming back!Written March 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. A must for any punk or rock fans.Written November 18, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BarryandJackieBerkeley, CA1,147 contributionsHey, this is mostly a positive review, starting with the fact that the street front is a great step up from your typical bar (remember they don't serve food here, which I must say is too bad generally, because you can get hungry). A delightful, playful, and enjoyable list of libations, all hand-made and served in appropriate glasses. It does get noisy, which just means you need to lean-in for a more intimate conversation, and you can reserve a table upstairs if you wish a bit more privacy. The music on several occasions has been a nice compliment to the ambience, even if making it even harder for conversations. Prices are reasonable for a mixed drink (not a bargain). Worth a visit, definitely.Written April 27, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- RamSRamBengaluru, India275 contributionsFriendly, casual, coffee place that is a local favourite and haunt and as it turned out of visitors from the City as well. I chose a chai instead of coffee and my friend a coffee. Both were great. Many people within a small space and yet not noisy. Spent well over an hour ordering nothing else, felt guilty. Great place to be. I love their coffee and buy it for home use.Written November 2, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Edward LWalnut Creek, CA25 contributionsThis is the kind of place that you just want to be. They have great bands, diverse patrons, a very wide range of musical talents. It's extremely comfortable. Hanging out at your best friend's house kind of comfortable. I love being there. I often go and see Stu Allen who does Grateful Dead type of stuff and he is one *incredible* musician. Makes me think back to the early days of the Dead. You are there and they are in your face making MAGIC! It's so nice to be in such a low key environment where you can dance, have a beer, talk with friends, and just hang out. Really really nice people work there. Not totally my kind of food but that's just me, most people are happy with it. I'm a carnivore. I just like being in an accepting environment with awesome music, no crowds, no jockeying for space. Just a great place to BE. Even if you are alone it's very comfortable.Written March 25, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Destination673627San Francisco, CA126 contributionsA must visit - a hidden gem in Berkeley. Great selection of pies, teas, drinks including Kombucha. - skyjordIrvine, CA50 contributionsWe were told that this place was the replacement for the "original" Bear's Lair in Cal's campus student union, an honest, original, beer tavern that we frequented for years on football game days. But this establishment is just getting going, with no TV's working and the personnel, although friendly and willing, just learning their skills.
The big problem, for me, is that the warm, tavern, beer-joint, atmosphere is gone, replaced by a cold, antiseptic, plastic-furniture, chain hamburger restaurant feel. I can go to McDonald's or Burger King anytime, a campus hangout should have some character of its own!!
Food's pretty good, but I'm not going back.Written November 11, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
