- Robin S23 contributionsBeautiful views of the Carquinez Straits and the solitude of being next to the water can be found on or near the public pier.Written June 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Robin S23 contributionsWhether you want a nice walk or you want to go fishing, the natural scenery is beautiful. Views of the Carquinea Straits abound!Written June 4, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- wardgarnerCastro Valley, CA547 contributionsThis is an interesting building. You really need to have a docent tour you around to get the most out of your visit. You will learn about the very earliest part of California becoming a State. There are a few original pieces of furniture and the original flag with its 31 stars. Do you know the name of Lake Tahoe before it was Lake Tahoe? Lake Bigler. Why Lake Bigler? It was given this name for the 3rd governor of California. You will learn these interesting facts when you tour with a docent.Written January 7, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Lynn C19 contributionsWe love this farmer's market. It Is large enough to find plenty of great veges and fruit but small enough to get thru in a short time if you like. There are flowers, music, Booths of a nice variety and friendly people with food as well if you want to grab a bite to eat there. Lots of restaurants with outdoor eating all down the street. It's a fun night...Thursdays.Written September 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kathy BBenicia, CA20 contributionsLots of fun learning the history of the Camel Barn and Magazine. We did hands on activities like in the pioneer days. Docents are very knowledgeable and enjoy sharing the history with you.Written September 3, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MayGetAwayBenicia, CA39 contributionsThis park has many things to do. The free public boat launch. Long parking spaces for your truck and boat trailer. You can fish off the dock area. I have been there to see several sturgeons being brought in. Many areas to fish off the bank out of boat traffic. Public restrooms. Drinking fountain. Places to picnic and BBQ. Large green area with plenty of parking. Can be a good place to fly a kite when the wind is up. There is a wide path leading to a nice beach area in a cove. During the summer the water temperature is not so cold and have seen many kids playing in the water. FYI it is brackish. Good place to kayak or paddle board from. A good place to watch the kite boarders when the wind is up and they are out doing their thing. Good place to view the Carquinez bridge and all the boat and ship traffic go by. One item that can be of concern is the type of people that hang out there at times. Just so you know that this is public and unsupervised park.Written November 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Beverly PBenicia, CA23 contributionsI go every year I can to the Memorial Day observance done by the Benicia Historical Society. Hundreds attend this day honoring our military veterans who are buried there. A flyover C5 has flown over the cemetery during the ceremony. Do go!Written October 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- A_Gora-MapfumoSan Leandro, CA24 contributionsI encourage everyone who visit Benicia to tour the Fisher Hanlon House. The lady tour guide is so knowledgeable and captivating. It is almost like she lived with the Fisher back in the day. I couldn't get enough of looking at the artifacts in the house. I will definitely go back.Written November 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JOHN NAmsterdam, The Netherlands144 contributionsWe were in Benicia during an Open Studios weekend, as a result (and fortunate for us) the glass blowing operation was active. Apparently operating hours are M-F 9 to 5pm during normal weeks. The glass blowers were operating as a team producing some intricate design bowls; as the process evolved the glassblower noted what they were doing.Written May 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- TerryRxyzBoone, NC91 contributionsOn a dry hill top, well hidden among the freeway ramps, but has sweeping views of Suisun Bay and the bridges over the strait. Worth a few minutes if you are nearby, like at the Benicia Historical Museum.Written May 22, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- arhieSan Antonio, TX310 contributionsAwesome German and Belgian style beers in Benicia. The saison and dunkel are standouts - seriously, some of the best I've had in each class. Only open Thu-Sun, but worth the trip to the industrial park. Excellent signage, small but well appointed tasting room, friendly staff.Written June 9, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Beverly PBenicia, CA23 contributionsthey were the second art group to form in Benicia and has grown to be a top notch art gallery. Their shows are impressive!
