The nature in the site is beautiful, particularly the rocks. The trek is short and easy. The place is too crowded with visitors, the guidance is terrible, and transportation from the tour operators is not comfortable.

I went with my friends to the sauna, was very relaxing, also you need to wait around 10-15 minutes to buy the ticket entrance because of the line.

Beatutiful gardens and great meeting place for locals and visitors. A lot of historical information is provided in both English and Spanish. Surrounded by two Cathedrals, and a view of Cerro de Santa Apolonia.

Pleasant walk to the top of a hill in the middle of cajamarca. If you feel lazy, you can take a taxi to the top, but the walk is easily doable. Great views!

    Wonderful lake in Cajamarca.
Being a current visitor, personally I have not liked Atahualpa ruins, baños, Apolonia or other attractions in this city.

However the lake is wonderful, peaceful if you are looking for a peaceful place. I will recommend it 100% and as the best place in Cajamarca for families.

Although it may seem like a small room with nothing much, it is so important to understand the fall of the Incan empire. If you have gone to Cusco, you will see the vast similarities in architecture. Fascinating.

5 soles will get you in to the Cuarto del Rescate, the Iglesia Belen, and museums close by. Worth it, and a great way to spend a day in the city.

The best museum or attraction in Cajamarca. Senior Puga greets you and gives you a personal tour of his private collection. The house itself is wonderful to see and the collection of Colonial antiques and art were outstanding. The best however was his collection of pre-Inka artifacts. Some of the best Miche and Nazcan fabrics I have ever seen. Do not miss this!

This is a great example of the work done by Artesanos Don Bosco, located in a little town near Cajamarca, is really worth the trip, when being in the church do not miss the sanctuary next door, use to be close by there is always an attendant for granting access.

A long trip, 2 hours, along a bumpy twisty road even though it's asphalt but pitted by the mining trucks. Get down the road and visit this museum! It's 4 or 5 soles, but it still has some of the gold artifacts found at Condor House. Small, with a video in Spanish, but interesting to see history and learn about the excavation and discoveries over 2,000 years old. They even have a gold needle! Quite interesting and a prelude to the archaeological site on top of the hill.

This site is from an earlier time than many. It isn't much restored, but there are some interesting carved stones, and you can get a sense of the layout. It is a nice walk up, and a lovely, scenic place to contemplate history.

The museum is in need of some upkeep and the art needs restoration. But it is a very interesting place to get a flavour of the history of Cajamarca, particularly church history. The collection of telephones may be relevant in 100 years! The catacombs were amazing
