Beautiful park with bright blue lakes and beautiful mountains and streams.
The whole national park is gorgeous, but I would recommend the Santa Cruz trek for those who would like to do some backpacking.

This is a great hike you can do without needing a guide, and in fact you will find very few agencies in Huaraz offering it purely because it is so easy to do on your own.
I was constantly looking around at the incredible views, and the view of the lake and snow capped mountains behind is magnificent!

... appreciate the lagoon and its surrounded landscapes, the views are astonishing, water has turquoise color, also you are able to see the snowy mountains of Huascaran National Park, and you can shoot many pictures.
... went by car, but you can take a tour there, it’s an amazing blue color, and there are 2 lakes, you can drive to both of them and also you can go camping, and rent a boat to go in the lake, I totally recommended!

It is well worth the effort to see the magnificent mountains with the snow and glacier then to look down into that surreal blue “Laguna.”
Stayed at Apu Eco Lodge and was able to use kayaks to really see the lake and mountains, highly recommend.
