This is one place where you get a chance to see, admire, appreciate and fall in love with amazing works of art in glass. Most of the pieces on display are masterpieces of the famous artist Ramon Orlina. They evoke different emotions in each beholder. They're not only mesmerizing themselves, but the lovely location of the museum matches their beauty. The museum is located in Tagaytay overlooking the Taal Lake and Volcano. Entrance fee is only Php 150. It's a four-level museum with an observation roof deck and a wonderful garden with sculptures. Guests will definitely find the place worth-visiting. Highly recommended! 👌

We were in Tagaytay with family friends on Mon, Jun 5, and after a shoe emergency stop at Ayala Malls Serin post-lunch, we continued our DIY day visit by heading to Tierra De Maria. It was raining when our rental van driver dropped us off at the gates so I only took a couple of photos of the huge Mother Mary statues outside before we all rushed indoors. The non air-conditioned chapel is small but there were not a lot of visitors at the time so we got to look around, take photos, say a quick prayer and sit quietly. My friend even wrote prayer-wishes to drop inside the wish box. Instead of an altar, there is a life-size crucifix at the front. There are many other religious statues inside, properly identified, with laminated prayers in English next to them. There is a store beside the chapel which sells religious gifts such as rosaries, cross necklaces, figurines, etc. We only stayed here for 30 mins.

    Wow!

    Walk-in.
Travelled with spouse and 12 yr old son

Get the Package Tour so you have all.

Nature - amazing and well-taken care of. Landscape is good. Clean
Restrooms and washing areas can be found during tour.

Animals are clean and taken care of. Im not a fan of zoos but this place is good.

Food area - price is okay. Menu is for kids. Prep time is 20-30min. Simple menu but that’s okay.

Journey is quite long. It’s near Paradizoo.

Tour guide is nice. He also takes pictures.

I love everything! From the koi, to the zebras, and aviary!

Suggestion: maybe benches so people can relax and enjoy the cool air. It gives the impression that after the tour, you want your guests to leave the area. There is no place to sit except the food court.

Left Manila early to try and catch the mass but it was already finished when we arrived. Managed to go in the church and pray. Lots of people but the place is still solemn. Photos are not allowed inside. It was a nice visit.

A very small and basic Ayala mall, not much to do or see there, has the usual suspects in terms of fast food joints and Starbucks, as well as a limited array of basic shops. Big plus is the Waltermart supermarket, decent size, good selection. Unless one has to go there to get something really no point to go there just for window shopping as nothing to see.

Charge for everything.. including the bathroom.. take the jeepney, it is a rough walk up the road.. the view isn't as nice as it is from the actual park, so it's just a360 view, it's not really a view of Tagaytay.

A few souvenir shops, and a lady renting binoculars..

Just your typical rip off the tourist place.. including the guy trying to guide you into parking even he eats a tip.= WPP

Mahogany Market is one of those tourist destinations often touted whenever you are in Tagaytay. Tagaytay is known for its fresh beef products and right on top of the beef market is a row of eateries where you can partake of their beef signature dish, bulalo.

Right across the meat market are two buildings. One for dried goods such as coffee, native delicacies, etc. We bought suman pinipig after being given a free taste. It was good but a little pricey at PHP20 each. Suman pinipig can be bought at less than PHP20 each in other places. But we didn't care because we were there already and we liked the sample.

We also bought salted eggs at 7/P100 which the vendor sourced from Laguna. We wanted to have a salted egg salad as a supplement to our breakfast. And since we already had salted eggs, we bought fresh tomatoes and onions at the second floor of the next building.

Thus, all in all, there are three buildings at Mahogany Market. The first building where they have their beef produce and eateries, The second where they have their dry goods and pasalubongs. And the third where they have fresh vegetables.

Overall, Mahogany Market could be a good first stop for food and fresh produce (except beef) when you are in Tagaytay. It could also be your last stop as you depart Tagaytay because you can eat at the different eateries where they serve almost identical dishes. And after the hearty meal, do some cheap (by Tagaytay standards) pasalubong shopping and also buy fresh produce.

Prices are not really much different and could be at times more pricey from Manila prices especially if you buy in Balintawak or Divisoria markets. So if you don't want to tote extra bags going back to Manila, I suggest just stick to the light stuff, i.e. native delicacies for pasalubong, ground coffee, etc.

Finally, Mahogany Market is different from the Tagaytay public market, found just behind the Tagaytay Flower Market right before a rotonda. Tagaytay public market, we were told, is where the locals buy their goods and restaurants source their fresh produce . But we weren't able to explore it as much as Mahogany.

We often go to Tagaytay, thus this church is one of the favorite to drop by and say prayers and attend mass.
And we happen to attend 1 Misa de Gallo this year. The church decoration is so attractive, choir sings beautifully and the homily really touches my heart not to forget what Fr. Francis Miranda says that when you are going to receive the body of Christ do say Amen and avoid nodding or saying yes, it should be Amen.

We first came here last 2013 together with my sister and ex-bf which is my husband now. Quite sad because there's a lot of animals before than 2022. We came back last June 2022 together with my whole family. They told us that most of the animals were died due to ash fall last January 2020. We just reminisce those time that we've been there. Some portion are quite old and needs renovation. However, I still recommend this place for kids who loves farm animals.
