- Nikolai K5 contributionsBasically I enjoyed this trip. It is more or less authentic experience you can find in the area. You can enjoy sincere and a little naive culture of the 'inner people', listen to their music and watch traditional dances and games. These people, of course, are just actors to satisfy the needs of visitors for smth exotic, but still they show their true arts. If you have no chance to go to the inner areas and spend quite a lot of money to stay in a real village with dayak people, the visit to Pampang will be a marvelous choice for you. The only shade of scepticism was spilled on me with too much interaction with visitors, again to satisfy their needs for exotic things. But this is forgettable regarding to thje major part of the action. It is definitely worth visiting.Written March 17, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- callmeyuriJakarta, Indonesia188 contributionsYou can see villagers making fabrics by their traditional machine. You can also buy "kain tenun" from the maker itself. The price is relatively reasonable compare to the gift shop. They will tell if the fabric is tenun or not.
The location is equite hard to find. If you coming from the samarinda city, go toward samarinda seberang. After the bridge, turn left the go straight until you find big sign welcoming you to the "kampung tenun". Go straight until you find dark colored big house on the right. Park your car there, then go into the small alley beside that big house. You can find every house selling "kain tenun"Written October 17, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
