Starting off with a coffee (or tea if you prefer) and a chat sets the tone for a comfortable and fun day (there's another break later and we got to have some delicious home-made Bakewell tart) What I really loved...
We are given cake at break time and her chocolate cake is divine, so are her salted caramel brownies which I learned to make on an earlier course.

Excellent small museum, run by great friendly knowledgeable people , cheap to enter, will bring a smile to your face... well worth the visit
Small, but perfectly formed, this museum is a real trip down memory lane for those of us who grew up with the development of the home computer.

From J Boy of Derby As a first time visitor to Wantage I found this museum a great way to learn more about the history of the town and the Vale of the White Horse.
The museum backs on from The Tourist Information Office and there is also an extremely good café - breakfasts from 9.30am, tea and cakes / scones and light snacks catering for all tastes.

In addition to the house, gardens, cafe, and gift shop, the Thames Path is close by and it is a very different area of the Thames compared to London, so serene and peaceful it is hard to believe it is the same river.
The lovely walk from the car park, takes you through the village, past the Memorial Cottages and the Memorial Hall where they had a crafts fair the day we visited (a lot of creative talent!).
