- Maire WAndalucia, Spain1 contributionWonderful - bring the hiking boots! A lovely way to approach the park is on foot, from the 'overflow' carpark. Absolutely beautiful in May, with the wildflowers and trees against the contrast of the amazing rock formations. Just a word of warning about parking-if you set out early in the hope of getting to the main visitor center carpark- don't bank on it! We arrived yesterday -Saturday 14th May- at 10.15am, and were refused entry beyond the point where the bus leaves from, with the guy insisting that the upper car park was already full, despite only opening at 10.00. An hour later, as we approached the visitors center carpark on foot after the 3.5 km walk, a large number of high octane powerful cars roared up the approach road to the visitor center car park- a car rally! Fun, maybe for these guys but unfair to close off a large part of the car park for them! A strange use of a Natural Park and public amenity- but the hike up was worth it and those guys don't know what they were missing!Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- James I1 contributionVisited today (good Friday 2022) with our daughters (8&6) Friendly insightful staff, a great concept and you do get to see the wolves up close. The tour is just the right length with a qualified guide who gives as much information as you need and open for questions. A really interesting and enjoyable trip. Highly recommend!Written April 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- nnmercmanCamberley, UK13,101 contributionsAs you drive along the Antequerra bypass motorway you can’t fail to spot this large outcrop of rock which from certain angles looks like a face on its side (if you ask a local they’ll tell you it’s the image of an American Indian). We chatted with a local guide and he said there are different versions of a local legend (both have the lovers jumping to their doom) - one is they were Moorish lovers from different clans and another is they were a Muslim girl who ran off with her father’s Christian slave. You also get a good view from the Alcazaber and Dolmens side of town but not from town centre mirador.Written February 7, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- noholdluggageBallymena, UK557 contributionsWe had coffee near here. It seems to be a fantastic play park. Wish we had something like this when I was young!Written March 8, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- laprincesashazzyLondon8 contributionsIt's obviously only a shadow of its former self, as the main lake has dried up. There is still a children's play area and the BBQs are still there, but it's looking a bit sad without the lake. However, it's the start of a fantastic 10k hike through ElTorcal, with some fabulous views...Written July 27, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- logan03Oakland, CA157 contributionsI love legends and this is one of the best. Apparently two lovers (one Christian, the other Moor) leapt from the top of the mountain when people tried to separate them. If you look at the mountain, it does appear to be a reclining face. You can get the best views of it from the overlook area on top of the absolutely charming town of Antequera.Written April 29, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- BennyMalagaMalaga, Spain89,775 contributionsMaria Cristina Park is located at Calle Parque Maria Cristina. It is a small park located behind the Plaza de Toros. There is a beautiful sculpture there that is called the Monument to the Corazon de Maria, and was created by Francisco Palma Burgos and Francisco Espinosa Perez in 1952.
The park has many paths for walking. There are plenty of trees and greenery in the park.Written March 18, 2014This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
