- JKY159Saint Joseph, MI98 contributionsNice course - greens and fairways in good shape and some challenging holes. Surprised to see so much water in play on a desert course, but that made it even more interesting.
I was completely unfamiliar with the course and staff were very helpful. The ranger even came out to check that I was enjoying my round.
I didn't stay for lunch, but the pro shop and adjacent restaurant looked nice.Written December 2, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We were members while living in Yuma and really enjoyed going there for dinner and parties. The only down side is they are not open for dinner during the week.Written January 5, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - MicaraYuma, AZ49 contributionsGreat resort.
Tons of activities to do.
They have a 9 hole golf course, 2 pools,
4 pool tables etc.
Wonderful friendly people.Written February 24, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. It is in rough shape this season. It is too expensive for what you get and the management is sub par. 25 minutes a hole is completely unacceptable. All that said, each hole is like a postcard and the course is definitely worth trying at least once.Written January 21, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - GlennnD1 contributionWe've stayed in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and more. Yuma and Cocopah Golf and RV Resort has the biggest lots and most side room of any private resort. Yes we needed multiple sewer lines (no biggy) and the water here is very hard and salty(?).
The surrounding produce(!) fields are amazing and make great neighbors.
The Colorado River is great.
There are many clubs and volunteer groups and activities that make the park super.
AND the dog park is a hoot. Friendly, therapeutic and large.
But... This park is NOT stuffy or uppity... It's also not "5 star" or trendy. Please look elsewhere for pampering.Written March 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Had an option to pay and golf all day if you wanted. Played a round and had some fun. No it's not the most challenging course however it was a great warmup.Written January 17, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Bryan CWinnipeg, Canada66 contributionsThis is a good place to work out some winter kinks in your game. My wife and I did the walking route of this course when we arrived in Yuma. They use water sparingly here but the greens are not bad. Price is right and people are friendly.Written February 25, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- D-Trekker32 contributionsThis golf course closed some years ago. It used to be a great beginners course. What was the golf course is now a residential development.Written September 29, 2013This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - ghp3Downers Grove, IL235 contributionsThe reviews of this course on the golf review sites have been mixed, but I decided to try it. I ended up starting on the back 9 first, then over to the front. The track is interesting and deceptively challenging with several elevation changes, desert obstacles, and undulating greens. The greens and tee boxes are in very good shape, but the fairways are badly in need of help. Mostly brown, although the watering seems solid, there were huge bare patches, hard pan, and other problems. Making the turn to the front, the fairways were in somewhat better shape, but still in need of care. I learned from another player, that this course went through a tough financial period during the recession and focused its money on maintaining the greens. Pricing and pace of play were OK, but there are several leagues that can fill up tee times and slow things down. I hope this course can continue to improve but it has potential to be one of the best tracks in the area, but there is still a lot of work to accomplish.Written December 27, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
