Challenging trail for some hikers such as myself, I walk a few miles everyday, but this a challenge. The walk to the base of the hill was nice. Beautiful scenery and mountain life, lizards and quail. Very friendly hikers on the trail and the peak is breathtaking! A sign in book waits at the top.
It was my birthday and I wanted to challenge my fitness level, my heart was pumping near the steep top! I love it!
Take water, a hat, sunglasses, chap stick,
    Sunscreen and a friend !

This is a newly developed section of the Western Wetlands Park along the Colorado. Sandy beach area good for the entire family. Also fun for pooches who like to fetch. There's a wooded nature area just east and trails on through to Gateway Park and the East Wetlands. But there's no shade; so mind the fierce sun. Parking is on the bluff above and alongside the road.

We were camped at the Yuma Lake RV resort on the Northeast so we were close. Signs took us to the park but nothing to get excited about. Locals use the boat lunch but nothing else unless you want to fish.

Nice course - greens and fairways in good shape and some challenging holes. Surprised to see so much water in play on a desert course, but that made it even more interesting.

I was completely unfamiliar with the course and staff were very helpful. The ranger even came out to check that I was enjoying my round.

I didn't stay for lunch, but the pro shop and adjacent restaurant looked nice.

The Yuma Country Club has good food and good service. We were members while living in Yuma and really enjoyed going there for dinner and parties. The only down side is they are not open for dinner during the week.

The course has gone through some extensive upgrades on both the greens and the fairways. It is in rough shape this season. It is too expensive for what you get and the management is sub par. 25 minutes a hole is completely unacceptable. All that said, each hole is like a postcard and the course is definitely worth trying at least once.

We've stayed in Florida, Georgia, Mississippi, Louisiana and more. Yuma and Cocopah Golf and RV Resort has the biggest lots and most side room of any private resort. Yes we needed multiple sewer lines (no biggy) and the water here is very hard and salty(?).
The surrounding produce(!) fields are amazing and make great neighbors.
    The Colorado River is great.
There are many clubs and volunteer groups and activities that make the park super.
AND the dog park is a hoot. Friendly, therapeutic and large.
But... This park is NOT stuffy or uppity... It's also not "5 star" or trendy. Please look elsewhere for pampering.

Nice little 9 hole golf course. Easy to get to and green fees were reasonable. Had an option to pay and golf all day if you wanted. Played a round and had some fun. No it's not the most challenging course however it was a great warmup.

My Great Niece and I took the Desert Horse Adventure on May 8th 2023. It happened to be on her 16th Birthday. It was a really nice time. Our guide was amazing and very knowledgeable. Both my Niece and I enjoyed the petting zoo and the the interaction that we were allowed with the horses before we started our ride. The riding lesson that we received before hand was wonderful and made it so that both my Niece and I were very comfortable on our journey. We enjoyed it, had a good time and I would recommend it.

This is a good place to work out some winter kinks in your game. My wife and I did the walking route of this course when we arrived in Yuma. They use water sparingly here but the greens are not bad. Price is right and people are friendly.

This golf course closed some years ago. It used to be a great beginners course. What was the golf course is now a residential development.

The reviews of this course on the golf review sites have been mixed, but I decided to try it. I ended up starting on the back 9 first, then over to the front. The track is interesting and deceptively challenging with several elevation changes, desert obstacles, and undulating greens. The greens and tee boxes are in very good shape, but the fairways are badly in need of help. Mostly brown, although the watering seems solid, there were huge bare patches, hard pan, and other problems. Making the turn to the front, the fairways were in somewhat better shape, but still in need of care. I learned from another player, that this course went through a tough financial period during the recession and focused its money on maintaining the greens. Pricing and pace of play were OK, but there are several leagues that can fill up tee times and slow things down. I hope this course can continue to improve but it has potential to be one of the best tracks in the area, but there is still a lot of work to accomplish.

I live in San Diego and I’ve been coming out probably for about five or six years now to do Yuma River tubing. Each year there’s more people to come with us and it’s always a great time. I highly this for all ages and bring your dog too!

Our family rented a couple 4 wheelers for our teenagers and the adults rode in a Terex built for 4 people. JUST RIDE also provided us with a trailer, helmets and goggles included in the cost of the rental. They showed us a map of the area and told us about how to safely ride in the sand dunes. The dunes can be dangerous if you don't watch for steep drop offs.
We rented them for 3 hours and they give you an extra hour to drive to and from the dunes. The dunes are about 30 minutes away. You have to buy a park permit for your vehicle at a gas station which I think was 30 dollars or so. You also fill your 4 wheelers with gas and then your on your way. We had a great time!! It went so fast we wished we would have rented them for longer. There were people camping there and that would have been fun.
JUST RIDE was easy to make rental reservations with and the equipment is safe and reliable. They had our 4 wheelers all ready to trailer up and go. I would definately rent from them again if we get the opportunity to do it again.
