Standin' on the Corner Park
#1 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
The little corner features a coffee shop, a bar and a gift shop/ice cream shop on the opposing corners the park which features two statues (Take it Easy co-writers Glenn Frey and Jackson Browne) and a painting of...
The little park/square is downtown and I can imagine every detail from the song "Take it easy" by the Eagles.
Rock Art Canyon Ranch
#2 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
The petroglyphs, the ancient pottery, the experience, are more fun, far better, more beautiful and more interesting than what you see in many museums and national parks.
Bathroom at the start of the tour but otherwise it's nature.
Meteor Crater Natural Landmark
#3 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
... to see this-- great photo opportunities- our guide even took a picture of me and hubby with crater in background for us-- highly recommend if you are in this area-- we were on way to Grand Canyon National Park-
The area is very low key and quietly rural....and then the building and car park are on the side of the road, after walking up the path to the museum/shop you can see out over the crater and it's worth every step!
Homolovi State Park
#4 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
Established in 1986 to protect ancient Hopi sites, the park also offers hiking trails and camping.
This incredible outing was ours for the $7 price of the State Park admission fee! Arizona State Parks ROCK!!

Easy drive with lots of stops to pull off and take in this magnificent view of nature at its best.
1 Way to experience it
9/11 Remembrance Garden
#6 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
Our original stop was the Standin' on the Corner Park and we spotted this tribute on our way into town.
This park is small but is effective in making the 9/11 tribute, located on the far East end of town.
First Street Pathway Park
#7 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
This small park is at the South end of Winslow in a quiet spot...
Nice little park in Winslow
McHood Park
#8 of 8 Nature & Parks in Winslow
In Winslow, there is a city park about 10 miles out of town, where there are places to picnic, rocks to climb and a reservoir to fish or swim in.
