- Doug HSanta Cruz, CA4 contributionsI and my wife booked the Corcovado Overnight tour. We had a very positive experience I would like to commend and recommend our tour guide, Freiman. Freiman is very knowledgeable about the area and wildlife. We were constantly surprised when he pointed out animals that we would’ve walked right by. He is very quick with the scope, and could provide views of things we couldn’t see and close-ups of the animals.
We were the only people on the tour with Freiman, so we got very personalized treatment. I highly recommend Corcovado info center however, all the tour guides we met in the park seemed very proficient and knowledgeable. However , many of the groups were much larger than just us two people. In fact, there was only one other group with only one couple.
My only complaint, is that when I checked in, I was told that towels would be provided at the station. It turns out you must rent them. I was also not told about the park rules which forbid anyone from bringing any food with them. So we lost the roasted almonds we had been carrying with us on the whole trip.
Perhaps this is my bad, as the Corcovado Park website has the rules listed on it.Written April 26, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Only thing is there were a few points which could have been better signposted.... watch out for that. - Travelbug1155San Francisco, CA531 contributionsProbably the safest beach south of town about 2 hrs. walk. There is a natural rock out crop that break most of the waves. We did experience some jellies to the far right near the rocks Two people got stung. Stay in the middle and visit early, cause it's a really popular spot for the tour boats to bring clients for lunch from 12- 2 pm.
Not a bad play to snorkel either so bring goggles at least. This is a good place for a picnic lunch too except there are no trash cans so plan to pack it all out.Written April 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We booked private tours with him which are totally worth it. He was so good in what he does. Spotting all the animals and telling about them, very informative. He was very friendly and easy going and so passionate about animals and photography. Pelagic tour was perfect as Erick found a super pod of Spinner Dolphins for us, it was an amazing experience. Also the Mangrove tour was amazing, we saw so many birds and different monkeys, just wow. If you want to hire a guide in Osa, you definitely should book Erick!Written March 7, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Caroline2 contributionsWe had high hopes after reading the reviews and were not disappointed.
We were led on a fascinating evening walk, enhanced by the engaging and encyclopedic insights shared by Gian and Tracie - whose enthusiasm for the nocturnal animals we saw was infectious. The evening flew by and our nine year old daughter enjoyed the tour as much as we did. We were still buzzing when we went to bed.
We bought Gian's book on Costa Rican mammals which is beautifully put together and the best souvenir of our trip.
Thank you Gian and Tracie!Written April 19, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Linda2 contributionsWe did the 3 days safari in corcovado. Our guide André was very friendly, had a lot of experience and loved what he did. He showed us many spots of Serena and San Pedrillo and had very good eyes for animals. Because of that we saw a lot of different animals and beautiful nature. The size of our Gruppe was perfect and not to big. We were 3 people.
It was an adventure we will never forget.
Everything was reliable and the food was good.

- Rama M1 contributionOur family did night walk tour with William few days ago. William is very knowledgeable guide, saw lots of frogs, snakes, spiders, insects. During our tour we did see 6 snakes in that one snake type which is very rare in this forest. - Larichilanti2 contributionsMe and my husband had the opportunity to go in several tours with Sierra and we had some of the most beautiful experiences in 4 years of traveling around the world. Sierra has a true connection with the sea and it was beautiful to see how she respects and connects with the dolphins. She’s definitely in love with what she does. We got the chance to see thousands of dolphins on different days and it’s a memory that we’ll always keep! We even saw a sea lion, turtles and tunas jumping out of the water that were so big that looked like dolphins. I must say, this is a truly unforgettable experience.Written April 24, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
