What travelers are saying
- Cindy HKansas City, MO24 contributionsThe Southwest Wildlife Conservation Center is a magical place where animals find their home for life or their refuge until they are able to be released bak to the wild. The expansive grounds are immaculate and impressive. The staff is knowledgeable, caring and passionate. You get a sense that the animals are "happy and content" rather than "caged and frustrated." Don't miss this when you are visiting the Phoenix area. It will be at the top of your list of favorite things you did while on vacation. Locals-bring all of your guests. They will thank you over and over. Marcia was a fantastic guide.Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - BusinessTraveler967Hartford, CT95 contributionsThey have different hikes based on ability. Bring plenty of water. The place is beautiful but the trails are rocky. Very rocky. You need good hiking shoes. Sneakers not a great idea. No sandals. Some hiking sticks would be wise, also.Written February 5, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Merrytoes79Bend, OR2 contributionsIn our (2) month-long visits to Phoenix, this has been our favorite activity so far! We did the private tour with our 2- and 4-year-olds and they absolutely LOVED it. They got to feed, hold, interact and learn about so many animals! This was so much more interesting than the zoo because of the hands on experience and the one-on-one education. I can’t recommend this place enough. The staff was great, there were so many species of animals (1700 animals I believe) and it was interesting to kids and adults alike. The boys are already asking when we can go back.Written October 20, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
