- Yaokuei l2 contributionsYes, you can play a round of golf 18 holes over 6500 yards for less than a meal at McDonald. Pesos $105. Only on Tuesdays.
Mondays are closed. When it rains, it closes too. For the rest of the days there are extra $200 pesos because of tournament. Everyone must pay this. This is for the ones who keep a local handicap and yes, there will be a a cup if you are the winner.
I enjoy playing in this course, people are usually friendly. Once I ran into an American airline flight attendant who takes a bus from his hotel with his golf clubs to play golf at this course. I can never imagine this in any other city of the world.
Don't expect the course to be like Augusta. However, as a golf course in a busy city this is more than decent.Written August 3, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. If you want to have a great golf experience playing golf in Buenos Aires take your friends or working colleges to this traditional and beautiful golf club. Highly recommend. The restaurant is excellent and the attention is very good. Ask for correspondence with your golf club. This years they are celebrating their 90 year.Written July 30, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Eddie MSt. Albans, UK738 contributionsThis was part of a golf trip to Argentina. This may not be one of the famous courses in BA but it was the first, it has a rich history. It was in super condition despite some recent torrential rain. It's a parkland style course.
The staff were fantastic and the clubhouse is a step back in time to a bygone era.Written February 7, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I’m from Canada and have been playing golf with Leandro for many months now. It is very difficult to play anywhere without Leandro’s assistance. You will end up playing only the cheap public course in Palermo when there are so many other golf courses in Buenos Aires to play. I’ve probably played 15-20 courses by now. Most of the courses are beautiful. My favourites are Highland, Pilar, Tortugas and Campo Chico. Leandro is a nice guy. He’s a good golfer. You will enjoy your experience playing with him. Highly recommend contacting him. You will not be disappointed.Written March 12, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - saintbaSan Diego, CA7,316 contributionsI am in Buenos Aires on vacation and planning to golf at Olivos Country Club and Pilar Country club later this week so I thought I'd practice a bit. I was surprised to find this driving range in the city. I used to live in Buenos Aires for 8 years but never golfed before.
The place was not too crowded but I came on a Monday afternoon. They have many bays to hit balls. Their driving range is nothing special but nice to get out and not far being in Palermo. It's on the way to the domestic airport just past Paseo Alcorta shopping center.
A large bucket of 100 balls was 100 pesos ($7 US dollars). The driving range is marked at 50/100/150 and 200 yards. They also had a shop for golf gear inside. I had my own clubs so not sure if you can use clubs there.
I hit 100 balls and then went to their tiny little "par 3" course. It was 100 pesos for 18 holes. You simply go around twice if you want to play 18. There was no one monitoring it outside so I'm not sure how they would know if you only paid for 9 and kept playing. The furthest hole was only 50 yards. Most of the holes were 35 yards or so. They had some bunkers but barely any sand in them. They had some areas that looked like water was in once upon a time but no water in them. Fortunately I made the greens almost every time.
There is a little restaurant/cafe but the service was pretty pathetic. I was standing there while women were talking and it took about 10 minutes for them to come over. I just wanted a bottled water with no gas but they only had water with gas.
Nothing too special but nice if you want to hit a few balls.Written April 11, 2016This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. I took several lessons with him during my last visit to Buenos Aires. I saw my club head speed, distance and overall swing improve tremendously. He is a great caddie too; everyone loves him at Pilar Golf Club
I have taken golf lessons with different instructors throughout Southern California and Mario is by far the bestWritten January 23, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
