5. Traditional Argentine Asado in Palermo

5.0 of 5 bubbles3
Food & Drink2–3 hoursEnglish +2

The best, most authentic way to experience an Argentinian “asado” (BBQ) is at someone’s home. An even better way is on a beautiful loft, in one of the best neighborhoods in Buenos Aires. I am originally from Las Pampas and my family still has a farm there where we raise cattle and horses. Asados are a core part of Argentinian culture. It’s how we gather together to celebrate almost any event and there is a ritual to making the fire, the meat, and how we share the food. Over the years, I’ve become the go-to grill master at every event - even when I’m a guest I end up in charge of the grill! I love sharing my culture with the world and I’m excited to welcome you into my beautiful home and share an authentic Argentinian meal with you. I can also do Boat trips to TIgre, Futbol tickets and Polo trips! ask me about it.

We traveled as a couple, and think the experience was definitely worth the money. Lovely food, which was served to those who could feed themselves at the table. we learned to make 3 drinks, with good wine. The food and wine were absolutely perfect. Cosy, good atmosphere and those who worked there had activities for us to do, served and filled the glasses. Great service and recommend this for a date, with the family, whether on a work trip or traveling alone.

A very unique and authentic experience. Lucho and Nacho were great hosts and although they are new to this platform and don't have many reviews here yet they have been hosting people for these events for over a year and really know what they are doing. They have lots of amazing recommendations for other things to do around the area.

I highly recommend booking this sooner in your trip rather than at the end so that they can help you with a little trip planning from the perspective of a local

Saul gave 4 of us a great cooking lesson--particularly for empanadas and his specialty ice cream dessert. It was also nice to be in an Argentine home with a well equipped kitchen and to share a couple of nice bottles of wine. Who knew you needed a strong dough for empanadas? No store-bought crust here! When we were done we all agreed they were the best we had had in Argentina. I was pleased that Saulhad enough prepped to make the evening fun (no hours spent chopping onions), but not so much that we didn't do or learn anything. Lovely evening!

A much more authentic asado argentino than you will get by going to one of the top restaurants of Buenos Aires, and the meat is also even tastier. I loved having this experience with my family and friends -- Olivia, Panchi and Berni made it so enjoyable and informative and fun! Mil gracias por la experiencia inolvidable!

We ate a lot and drank even more!!! This food tour is a lot of fun to do with friends, but also to meet people. We met two new friends, Paul and Frank, with whom we laughed a lot! Catalina was an excellent guide, very attentive and fun. Everything was great.

Wonderfully intimate fun night learning about empanadas and the wine regions of Argentina. Our host was wonderful, very informed and knowledgeable. She really helped enlighten us to some the history while teaching us to cook a delightful recipe over various wines. Really recommend for couples or groups.

Highly recommended. The host was very friendly and explained everything clearly. It was fun to cook and the resulting empanadas and alfajores were a total delight for the mouth. Brilliant souvenir to take home! When we finished we went for a walk through the Palermo neighborhood, lovely place. I would really love to do it again, awesome experience!
