Rather be at the Thelonious Club in Buenos Aires than NYC. The venue is spacious and comfortable. Drinks and food are very reasonable and good unlike most Jazz clubs in the US. The sound was perfect and the musicians were suberb. Tickets were very reasonable 12 dollars each and no drink minimum. The atmosphere was enjoyable because the audience appreciated and. listened carefully to the flow of the music.

We heard Cyrus Chestnut accompanied by local Argentinian musicians. Excellent site lines and amazing acoustics. Highly recommend this venue.

I was staying at a friend's in Buenos Aires and he took to this amazing place! Lovely music, incredible musicians and dancers, and a cool bar where you can chill meanwhile drinking some fresh beers or the tastiest caipirinhas you've never tried in your whole life. I really didn't expect to end up my last weekend in the city in place like this... Highly recommended!

A nice relaxing setting to slowly ease into the day. Soft jazz music playing. TV set to the morning news. Located in the basement of the Melia Recolita Plaza Hotel. Fresh fruit, salmon, sausages, breads, potato cubes, eggs, macaroons, pastries. Bacon. Coffee, milk and orange juice. The provide newspapers.

If you have had enough of traditional and formal milongas, or if you just want a friendly introduction to contemporary tango in Buenos Aires, come to Milonga Del Pez Cañón! The DJ plays danceable music with a different point of view, and Cañón, the “house band”, is one of the most interesting tango ensembles of our time. The kitchen serves excellent pastries filled with delicacies of the season, and there is also a tango class before the milonga.

I went there on a Saturday, I loved it, and I will definitely recommend it and go there again.
Run by the owners who are really friendly and welcoming, you can either go with friends or with a date, listen to the live band and enjoy really good and cheap cocktails.
If I have to say something that I would change is the pizza, the pizza I order came out with soft dough, so soft that was even hard to eat
