What travelers are saying
- Alan MLurgan, UK11 contributionsBrilliant day out. As suggested by previous contributor we got ferry to Farol which left Olhau at 11am. We walked along an almost deserted beach for most of an hour and stopped at the end of the boardwalk for a snack and a swim. Got ferry back from Culatra at 3.30Written April 14, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Paddington BearNorthumberland, UK241 contributionsAmazing place. This was our first visit to Portugal and it definitely won't be the last. Olhão is stunning. We spent a week wondering around the town, enjoying the atmosphere with locals & eating fantastic food. It's a really laid back place, suitable for all ages. I would 100% recommend it.Written May 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- schliekGoes, The Netherlands2,148 contributionsHi guys,
You pay one small fee which covers entrance, a brochure and parking.
Staff was very friendly.
Due the time of year (january) we didn't see as much flora and fauna as can be expected in summer season. However, we had an interesting 3 hour walk in the sunshine all around the park, seeing the old Roman salting tank ruins, the tide mill, the dunes and lagoon. There is a hide. There were some flamingo's. It was a quick trip from nearby Albufeira where we were staying.

The beach bar is great.. nice dishes and great cocktails and desserts too..Written August 15, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - davidwilliambarnesBlackpool, UK1,408 contributionsAlways worth a visit when in Olhao. Gets busy on mass days. Still a well maintained whitewashed building with character. Although the big nests were visible I didn’t actually see any storks this time - a pity as this is their spiritual home.Written October 22, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- SLKmaniacHampshire, UK662 contributionsNice beach with easy access. Very quiet and peaceful when we were there. We will definitely come back again.Written May 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ian T76 contributionsNice walk even in a hot day with a rewarding view from the top. There are nearby summits to scale as well and the paths are well definedWritten September 6, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Ays EspirituBonn, Germany390 contributionsThe park is by the marina with free parking and big open spaces. On a sunny day, it is nice to sit there and enjoy the view of the waters or just simply walk around. There are some cafe and boat tours available in the park.
The Mercado de Olhão is in the middle of the park. However, there is also an open market in the park itself. By the main road, you can find cafes, bars and restaurants.Written February 5, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Hayles7Belfast186 contributionsThere are some mixed reviews but the track is reasonably challenging and the karts quick and in good order. Yes, on the first time we had to wait 30 minutes and don't really know why it was so long as there were only 2 karts on the track. But we had a really good experience, even though my youngest forced me off the track, and all enjoyed our 10 minutes. On reflection 20 minutes would have been too long.
A tight track, being underground and 270cc karts made this an exhilarating experience and well worth €48 for the three of us. So good we decided to return.
Unfortunately the website is poor and although it says it is open from 10.00 a.m. it was not due to open until 14.30. What a waste of our time driving over to be their at 13.00 on the last day of our holiday. We did not have enough time to wait and felt pretty pi55ed off!

The artworks of the doors are facinating and inspiring. Also nice gifts to take back home or to keep for your own.Written July 19, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.

- NickyPussKenilworth, UK282 contributionsCrossing the bridge from Quinta do Lago this beach bar is on the right before dropping down to the beach. Stopped off for a sangria and waited ages before a weak and expensive version arrived. Passed by again to find it shut in the late afternoon despite lots of folk passing in both directions. They don't seem to advertise their opening hours but odd to be closed at a seemingly peak timeWritten September 17, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Scot SGlasgow, UK31 contributionsNothing special, great supermarket on ground floor. Typical Pizza /Burger type on 3rd floor. Don't Come if looking for designer clothes. Quite poor actually.Written June 4, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
