- Paradise390205057528 contributionsThis was my first time doing a wine tasting and first time to be able to do it while Cape Town! It was greet. Linhle was an amazing tour guide and educated us on how the white and red wines are made and some history on Groot Constantia. Natasha from Wine Flies Tours recommended me to you guys while in the area! Thank you!Written November 30, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Richard P1 contributionWe have been in the area for a week and have tasted some fabulous food but Beyond restaurant has been the best of the lot so far. Friendly but expert service (special mention to Azi) and each course really top-end cooking. The wagyu fillet (with a supplement paid) and the triple cooked chips were particularly good but all the dishes were fantastic. A bottle of the Robertson fizz and a complex and chocolate-y red (Buitenverwachting Christine) were also amazing. All in all, a fantastic experience and well worth visiting!Written October 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - TandTSwitzerlandZurich, Switzerland1,214 contributionsWhat a beautiful area! We visited different parts of Comstantia Valley, the area has very beautiful nature. You can have some nice hikes ore bike tours. There are some nice restaurants also. Highly recommended when in the region.Written November 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Pebbles111Essex372 contributionsWow!
What an amazing experience.
Nestled in a scenic valley, this winery is definitely worth a visit. The views are incredible.
I visited recently, with a group of friends.
We managed to get a table inside and enjoyed a relaxing couple of hours, sampling the delicious wine and eating the superb food.
Also available were outside seating options, but these were full during our visit.
I opted for the vegan sliders, followed by the Malva pudding. Both were super tasty and well presented.
The server was friendly, efficient and attentive.
The prices were really reasonable compared to UK/US prices.
Thoroughly recommended and I hope to return some day.

It was a bit chilly but we were all given blankets! The highlight was our wine waiter. Wow - funny, knowledgeable and an absolute delight. We would come back again just to be entertained by such an incredible young man.Written August 26, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Maps685770644011 contributionYho! The way Chumani our wine ambassador was amazing, he not only curated his pairing to the usual pairings ok known for the wine but also suggested some African food pairing which was a lovely twist. Definitely coming back!Written August 4, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- t_mandanaLondon13 contributionsA spectacularly beautiful property with great views and a fabulous bistro attached to the winery . It’s a hidden gem of a bistro - a great space including a lovely balcony with simple but amazing food. Food was well presented and very tasty . Well worth a stopover in addition to a wine tasting. Dont miss it !Written November 8, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Sarah CAshtead, UK1,323 contributionsWe previously visited Constantia Uitsig 13 years ago and were sad that the estate no long offers accommodation which had been outstanding (and one of our sons had played cricket on school tour on the estate's private cricket pitch).
The estate has completely changed but the wines are just as good. It was busy when we visited, we had lunch booked elsewhere but really enjoyed the wine tasting and bought a case to take home!Written November 18, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. And many more. They are all excellent and have great wines. However, the best I had over the whole trip (and this means a LOT of competition) was the 2013 Cabernet Franc from High Constantia Wine Cellar. Superb. And on my visit they opened several expensive (for SA) bottles for me to taste without even asking for payment. The staff were excellent and very friendly, as they generally are in all of these wineries, and also extremely knowledgable. Excellent all round.Written April 15, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- SusanneMunichMunich505 contributionsThis winery is one of the stops of the hop-on-hop-off-bus and much more recommendable than "Groot Constantia". For the wine tasting one can sit in a very nice garden and will be offered five different wines with a short explanation (although monotonously recited by our waiter). They offer a few platters with cheese and/or cold cuts at good value for money. The personnel however generally seems to be rather uninterested.Written February 23, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sharon LPlumstead, South Africa50 contributionsEverybody who loves doing easy walks in a natural environment will love this place. The trail is about 3,5-4 km return trip and you can either do the lower path or choose the upper path that is more undulating and a bit more fun, I think. Sometimes you’ll see horse riders- a wonderful sight! Dog owners also use this trail as a dog park and often, it can be so frustrating when many of these owners let their dogs run off leash, ahead of them. All dogs are supposed to be on leash as per clear signage at both ends of the trail.Written October 4, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
