- 364jillf9 contributionsWe had a lovely trip booked direct with Viator. Lyn our guide texted the night before to confirm pick up times. She was extremely friendly and knowledgeable and this made the 2 hour drive to Aquila relaxing and enjoyable. Aquila is a beautiful game reserve, the buffet lunch was very nice, and staff friendly. It was a nice way to see animals up close and they are very well looked after. A nice touch was the complimentary drink at the end before the driver returned us to the starting point to unload. - Heidi4 contributionsMy partner and I travelled from Canada and we thoroughly enjoyed our private tour of Cape Town with Beyond Africa Safaris and Tours! It was our first time in Cape Town and we only had three days to explore all the city and area has to offer (which is A LOT), so we wanted to make the most of our days there and decided to go with a private tour so we could pack in a lot of sites into one full day. This tour is an IDEAL way to accomplish that, since the tour company has a really great itinerary and you can spend as little or as much time at each stop as you would like, which isn't possible in group tours. Then if one spot doesn't interest you as much, you can request to move on to see the spots that matter more to you personally!! No waiting for anyone or worrying about what someone else wants! This truly maximizes your time. Our driver and guide Jean was perfect!! He was accommodating when we requested anything, very knowledgeable about all the sites in Cape Town and for all our other questions, friendly, professional, fun and a great driver!! We had a stop at Stony Point to see Penguins. Awesome! No crowds, just penguins. And Dassies.
We stopped for brunch in Herman's. Lovely Town and worth the stop.
During the drive, Christopher provided a lot of information on South Africa, and the environs. Could not ask for better.
The game lodge: we had a bite for lunch and then grouped up to go out with Nicole. So Much amazing information but - we got to see a cheetah hunt and kill an ostrich. This was unique and awesome. Our "hut" made us wish had opted for multiple nights instead of just the one. The food, the drives were all worth it.
The drive back we went to Cape Agulhas and were back in Cape Town by 1800.

He was well versed in South African history, as well as the history of the vineyards and wines. We got an opportunity to taste 21 wines, several cheeses, and have a lovely lunch. We also got a chance to see the town of Stellenbosch, which was very posh and cute. - Nicolas BCape Town, South Africa2 contributionsWe had a really good time! Botlierskop Safari is one of the greatest safari experience in the region. We could see almost all the big five (except leopards). We were lucky having such a nice group! Very good ambiance!
However, the only small damper was the accommodation: don’t expect to sleep in the reserve with a view on the park. Also there are 3 quality of room with 3 different prices: turned out they are almost all the same. I paid for the “luxury” one and ended up having the worst room next to a busy street while other people who paid less had better rooms.

From there we were taken to the ferry to take us to Robben Island. Kevin was there to pick us up on return and we had contact by mobile. We then enjoyed a tour of Cape Town and the day was completed with a fabulous trip up Table Mountain. Kevin met us at the top after we’d had a wander round enjoying the spectacular views. We felt that there was no pressure to rush to get us back to our hotel despite the afternoon getting late. We were a little underwhelmed by the Robben island trip although it was still interesting. He went with us personally up on Table Mountain where other tour guides stood around and waited. He showed us the best way to see the penguins. He took us to a fantastic restaurant for lunch.
