We booked our airport transfers to Cape Town and from Franschhoek, as well as private transfer to the Cape Peninsula and Cape Winelands. The service has been great and reliable, always on time and with a smile.
Marco was very responsive to my queries and did an amazing job taking us around. He gave information about the places we saw and gave insights about South Africa. We put our first time experience in Cape Town his hands and he did not disappoint! From the best coffee in the world, table mountain, a quaint lunch spot, the south western most point of Cale Town… we saw and did it all! It was a full day filled with history, memories and great laughter! They were immediately communicative and took in all we wanted to do for the day (including Caoe of Good Hope, Boulder Beach as well as several other stops before getting us to the airport for our flight), confirming we could get it all done and letting us know how long it would take. Our driver the day of (Tenashe) suggested several improvements to the flow of stops and provided great recommendations on how best to enjoy each one. He was patient and flexible, stopping for many requested photo opportunities as well as letting us linger longer in a few spots as we enjoyed the day. After buying ticket at ticket office this 1 had to go into the those with ticket queue at the back.
The rest of us got to the top at 8.55 am. We had to wait till 10 30 before this 1 person got to the top. Communication, including flight clarification and prompt responses with Alex were excellent. We even added to our itinerary mid trip and he was very responsive. All costs were know prior to trip with zero surprises.
Professionalism - Warren was well dressed, well spoken and incredibly knowledgeable and polite throughout our entire experience. We had a great time discussing world events and politics with him while we rode. He is well versed in history of the country and gave us interesting facts.
Safety - Warren is a Cape Town native and knows the are well. We used him to visit winery and coastal areas too. He knows the roads and was always a safe driver and provided us with other safety tips on our trip too.
Vehicle- the vehicle was spacious, clean and well maintained.
We used Big Sky and specifically Warren to do our airport transfers, chauffeur to Franschhoek and to Gansbaai for diving. We’re so glad we didn’t attend to drive these in a rental car. - Ian M90 contributionsIlios were booked by Virgin holidays for all the pick ups and transfers from airports and hotels during our stay in South Africa. Every one was punctual and new comfortable vehicles. 4x4s taking us to safari lodge and new Toyota luxury mini vans around Franschhoek and Cape Town. All drivers were extremely professional and keen to ensure we were comfortable. Absolutely spot on service. - Jo RawsonAdelaide, Australia45 contributionsA trip of a lifetime.We started our tour in Johannesburg travelling to Kruger National Pk and then on to Maun in Botswana to meet our Jenman guide, Thulani and the other travellers in our group. From here we travelled to the Okavango Delta, Moremi Game Reserve and Chobe National Pk. Next stop, Hwange National Pk and the beautiful Nantwich Hideaways Lodge in Zimbabwe. Last stop Victoria Falls.
Lots of early morning starts and long drives on dusty, bumpy roads but it was well worth it to see the abundant wild life close up in their natural habitat….elephants, giraffes, hippos, prides of lions with their cubs, zebras, many species of antelopes, warthogs…the list goes on… and the bird life was just as spectacular.
It was nice to be in a small group of 7 so there was plenty of room on the bus to spread out.
Lots of fabulous inclusions- 1/2 day, full day and night safaris, day trip in traditional dug out canoes, sunset drives, river cruises, walk to Victoria Falls.
Varied accommodation from lodges to well appointed tents all with en-suite bathrooms, mozzie nets, fans or air conditioning and swimming pools to cool off after a long hot day. Most meals were provided and staff were all very friendly and couldn’t do enough for us.
We highly recommend Jenman African Safaris. Thulani, our guide, was exceptional…very knowledgable, informative, organized, caring and fun.
So many wonderful memories created and 1000s of fabulous photos taken to ensure an experience we will never forget. Special mention to Elton, our driver, who made sure we were all comfortable on tour and luggage all taken care of.
