Wow, this was an interesting few hours starting with the history of the earthquake, houses that were destroyed and watching videos of the survivors recounting their night of despair.
Very well presented with a story throughout of how the houses in Church street were restored to their former glory after the tragedy.

The Museum show cased quite a few interesting and historical items (furniture, crockery, pictures and medicines) The 'peach' kitchen floor is amazing and the garden is beautiful.
I loved the fact that people donated some of their possessions to the museum, for the sake of preserving the history.
