Wife and I visited and enjoyed the Mansion. Many informative exhibits, mostly pictures that were explained very well. In the outside court yard several mining tools of the days gone by also on display, with explanation.

Located just outside the gate to Douglas Mansion, it does not look like a park but it is. I love history so seeing the early 1900's machinery to mine copper, silver and gold from this spot was interesting to me. Signs point out the history and relevant facts.

Spent maybe 20 minutes here which includes the dog walk.

My husband and I spent an afternoon in Jerome and included a visit to the Gold King. This was a fun visit but you have to know what you are going to see before going in to determine if it's for you. The visit consisted of a self-guided walk through of an impressive collection of buildings, vehicles, tools, etc. related to mining. It is not kept-up, but that is part of the fun - seeing history unfold. We spent about an hour and a half wandering around and seeing the animals was fun too. I could see this being a really exciting place for gearheads - there is so much machinery to explore! I wish there were a bit more plaques explaining what we were looking at and the history, but still think it's worth a visit for the $7 entrance fee.

Form other reviews, the views alone are great. But now I really want to go just to find out about those "left leaning voodoo kit" reported in prior post.

Excellent Wine Tender. Listened intently and suggested appropriate wines for our tasting. We learned of two new wines we liked.

It's amazing to see this small jail below a public parking area. the jail slid down the hill due to the mining in the area.

Stopped in today and Mimi was amazing! Roughly $20 per person for a tasting of 5 glasses (amazing price!). Before the tastings are given Mimi asked us what kind of wines we were interested in and seemed to base the samples off our preferences! She was extremely informative and was able to answer any questions we had. Ended up purchasing two bottles of wine we sampled. Highly recommend, especially if you’re interested in an intimate experience!

Jerome is built on Cleopatra Hill When visiting Jerome you’ll see and visit Cleopatra Hill long before you know it’s name or mystical history. Neat “J” above the town, visible a long, long way off.

Upstairs and down this work is well curated and beautifully crafted. Tables with inlay to tiny glass birds, leather furniture to snowy owl faces, there is a wide variety of fine crafts here. I could’ve easily spent $30k, but settled for $100. Best gallery in town!

Went in here wandering around Jerome. The theater upstairs was cordoned off so couldn't go up there but the shop downstairs was interesting.

I especially like the couple of animated scare figures in the back of the store. Figured out easily how to activate them. A couple of preteens approached one of them and I activated them scaring the crap out of them.

Lots of interesting movie stuff and definitely worth a stop.

We stumbled down the hill to find the most amazing old school glassblower creating a piece of art. We sat for an hour while he shared his craft and the history of glassblowing. What a talented man and wonderful story teller.
