What travelers are saying
- Roberta R1 contributionThere is a reason this is rated the #1 experience in the Phoenix area! As an equestrian who’s ridden all over the world, the one place I had not done a horseback ride was in the desert. Not only can I now check that off my bucket list, I enjoyed it so much that I’ve extended my vacation by a day and I’m going back tomorrow! There was a complementary pick up from the Sheraton Grand by Robert who provided a little bit of the history of the equestrian center during the short ride over. Lorenzo, our wrangler, was an excellent tour guide throughout the ride. A gorgeous sunset with a margarita in hand was the perfect way to wrap up the experience. The horses are gentle enough for an inexperienced rider yet they had enough pep in their step that a lifelong rider isn’t bored. I highly recommend any of their rides.Written February 10, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- LlandowskiAnna Maria Island, FL100 contributionsVery nice city park. It was busy with birthday parties at the shelters but did not take away from having a nice walk around the water.Written February 22, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Larry K25 contributionsThey put on evening concerts out by the lake. Chandler has built a hugh, very impressive lit display of the American Flag that is a must see at night.Written January 8, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Lawrence OSherwood, OR256 contributionsThere are a lot of old preserved trains that were really neat to walk through. Our family had a great time. I would have like to see a steam engine going but not staffed today. Great gift shop too. - Theresa BSalmon Arm, Canada531 contributionsHaving gone just after Christmas/New Years there were lots of good sales. I found quite a few items at the Columbia store for up to 60% off with many sizes still available.
A nice variety of stores and not so large that it's overwhelming.
Lots of parking.
Very limited selection at the food court.Written January 2, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. The only drawback was you cannot use cash, credit or debit without using the waymo app which charges them. We will be looking forward to next year but please change over to cash.Written March 13, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - kamilouise13Granville, OH171 contributionsWe were staying in the area and wanted to take our 7 year old to a place to swim on a Sunday. A friend suggested this place and we are so glad she did. It was warm, clean, and had lots of fun things for him to do. Such a great find. If we are ever in the area again we will come back.Written March 28, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - SongbirdSpirtWalkerAlbuquerque, NM122 contributionsThe Chandler Museum is quaint and rich in its eclectic exhibits! I have visited this museum 5 times and each time I have found fascinating exhibits!
From local history and the love of the “ostrich” to exhibits on “Civil Rights” “the Stereotyping of People of Color” the small but charming museum is noteworthy. I’ve seen an exhibit on the local boxer “Foley” and “Muhammad Ali”
As well as on tequila and how it is produced from the agave plant!
I saw the exhibit on “Chandler A-Z” and so much more!
There was even a small exhibit on the tumbleweed Christmas tree history.
There’s a gift shop with books and items related to Chandler and more!
The exciting fact about this museum is that it has always been “free” admission!! It is near the Chandler Fashion Mall, hotels 🏨 and places to dine!
The museum is multigenerational in nature. It was a family friendly and easily accessed.

Stuffed animals and live snakes. Useful resource for school or children's organizations.Written January 19, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Mark VPuyallup, WA177 contributionsSuper cool and interesting subject but very poorly executed. No sign on entrance to the museum. They talk about the two cultures but never tell why one evolved to the other. No information on the incredible engineering that took place. Even the facility itself was not explained.Written October 27, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Heather EChandler, AZ11 contributionsThe lake is beautiful and the path for walking is well kept. Such a nice place to relax and take a walk.Written November 30, 2018This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Paul BSaint Charles, IL36 contributionsNice track. Need more Bathrooms. Parking was easy to get in and out. Weather could have been better but not bad. Need more lighting in parking lot. Nedd more spaces for tailgating. Need a better cross over to tower side seating.Written March 30, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
