This was the best experience!! I was nervous- being solo, but never riding a horse in a dessert before. The wrangler told me to take a couple breathes and assured me everything would be ok. Once we got going, she was so knowledgable and helpful! Especially when my horse stopped a few times- even in a little stream (horse was thirsty!) This ride was so calming and still was able to see a few coyotes, owl, and tarantula webs! I will do this again the next chance I get!!! I only wish I was able to get pictures- but they are now in my memory! Thank you so much!!!! I had so much fun!!!!

An excellent way to spend an afternoon. It's a well-rounded collection from a variety of artists who worked in several types of media. I think we'll put this on our list of places to revisit whenever we're in the area. I'm big on American regional art, so this collection is a favorite.

They put on evening concerts out by the lake. Chandler has built a hugh, very impressive lit display of the American Flag that is a must see at night.

Having gone just after Christmas/New Years there were lots of good sales. I found quite a few items at the Columbia store for up to 60% off with many sizes still available.

A nice variety of stores and not so large that it's overwhelming.

    Lots of parking.

Very limited selection at the food court.

What a fun experience while getting some exercise in too. Even if you just go to see the goats it is so therapeutic to hold the baby goats. Very worth the time to be out in the country with fun people and these cute little animals.

We are both around 70 years old and had one of the best times ever.saw uncle cracker and the band Perry and of course the little pig races and loved it all. The only drawback was you cannot use cash, credit or debit without using the waymo app which charges them. We will be looking forward to next year but please change over to cash.

There are a lot of old preserved trains that were really neat to walk through. Our family had a great time. I would have like to see a steam engine going but not staffed today. Great gift shop too. Thanks

This is a well-maintained park with a large pond surrounded by grass and plenty of trees for shade. There are paved walking paths and picnic ramadas around the pond which are ADA accessible. Family friendly and dog friendly. There are lots of other amenities such as tennis courts, ball fields, a hummingbird habitat, nd even train rides for the kids. The park website lists all amenities.

We were staying in the area and wanted to take our 7 year old to a place to swim on a Sunday. A friend suggested this place and we are so glad she did. It was warm, clean, and had lots of fun things for him to do. Such a great find. If we are ever in the area again we will come back.

Interesting displays of desert wildlife. Facilities for meetings as well. Great community resource. Stuffed animals and live snakes. Useful resource for school or children's organizations.

New building with a very nice exhibit about Zora Folley (local boy who fought Ali for championship) also had a nice national geographic photographic exhibit of the west. Otherwise not too much there. It was interesting and I'm happy I went to see this. I found more information about Chandler history on the city website of which I actually was looking for. Still the 2 exhibits were very nice. We were guided to the back building, upon visiting here the wasn't too much to see. A couple of picture boards about the canal history. I'll go back when the exhibits change

A group has been coming to greater Phoenix for 32 years to compete in an adult league ice hockey tournament. Having this great two-rink arena in Chandler is part of the attraction. As for those who come to watch, the heated, large-window restaurant / bar makes it double enjoyable. Can sit right behind the goalie's net and watch the whole game. Beats standing (or even sitting) in the bleachers around the ice. Having done that, much prefer this option.

Nice track. Need more Bathrooms. Parking was easy to get in and out. Weather could have been better but not bad. Need more lighting in parking lot. Nedd more spaces for tailgating. Need a better cross over to tower side seating.

Very beautiful facility but the fields are not marked very well. Took me a long time to find which one he was on. It is huge, so if you go make sure you know the number of the field you are trying to find.

Going to a Radford Racing Class and have Saturday free. Need a quick hike with some great views. We are from Michigan so even if its 40 degrees we will be wearing shorts! :) Any Chandler must do/sees would be wonderful too. We are late 40s, no real budget, drinks and Mexican food are a favorite (Margarita flight?) Thank you for your help.
Answer: Chandler is a nice place to live but there aren't any "must-dos" for tourists. You will want to head to Scottsdale and Phoenix for those. The closet for hiking is either S. Mountain or San Tan. To get great views, I would head to South Mountain. You will need a car in Chandler so you may want to drive to another location to hike. If you want a challenge, then Picacho Peak is not too far south of Chandler.

You mention budget - are you asking for a hotel recommendation? As mentioned, Chandler is not a tourist destination so for the resorts that the Phoenix area is known for you will need to stay in Scottsdale or Phoenix. A vast majority of the lodging in Chandler will be cookie cutter chain motels. Nothing wrong with them but they won't be full on resorts.

For food, I would head to Gilbert. The Main Street restaurant area has significantly changed and there are branches of several notable area eateries. You can easily hop from one to the other for drinks, a different one for apps, head elsewhere for main and dessert at another. Or head to Old Town Scottsdale.
