Forget everything you think or have heard about the bustling Cabo Frio. If you have littles Praia do Forte has a calmer cove. We love this in the summer and winter. - Shug45West Lothian, UK139 contributionsThe beach towards the Japanese island area is without doubt the busiest beach I have ever witnessed BUT jump in an Uber from here to the further end of the beach towards Arraial do Cabo (about £3) you have Foguete beach with pristine, clean, white sand and crystal clear, warm water. One of my favourite beaches in the world. The church holds a nice collection and the climb up the hill (take your time it is steep) provides a beautiful view of the city and canal.
