It's been a number of years since I've been inside the Visitors Center. I usually just hike around but had my niece and nephew with us and they had not been inside. Was great to look through the high power binocular to see the sheep out on the mountain. Couldn't see them with the naked eye. Loved the short movie that was playing. I wanna see it again so I can make note of the gal that was weaving as I forgot as soon as I walked out of the theater. Hahaha! I highly recommend a visit inside if you haven't in awhile like me. A lot to see and learn

We are avid cruisers and are always looking for exceptional excursions. This was by far one of the best excursions we have ever been on. A smaller vessel picked us up from the cruise ship and as the cruise ship continued down the Fjord, we were able to cruise up close and personal to one of the glaciers. This was during early spring and there were so many Harbour seals on the ice, many with new babies. The view of the glacier that close is absolutely breathtaking and we were able to enjoy glacier ice margarita as well! The views were awe inspiring and we even got to see mountain goats and a bear. This is definitely an excursion you don't want to miss.

Take the hike. It is a bucket list item that is truly amazing. The glacier is beautiful, and stop in the visitor center for great pictures and information.

This is a must visit museum when in Juneau! It’s filled with so much interesting artifacts about the history of Alaska with animals, people and resources. Its located in the state library and is about $12 to get in. It’s a smaller size museum so I’d say to reserve at least an hour to visit, 2 if you want to read more details. There is a gift shop with great trinkets.

Definitely worth seeing! I do miss the chili fries at the restaurant. But the views are great On a clear day. Sometimes there is an eagle to see.

Religious or not, this is a beautiful and peaceful spot worth the stop. Bonus, we caught the salmon spawning in the creek!

We had a lovely time on the trip. My husband has always wanted to see the Sentinel Island lighthouse and he finally got his wish. Maybe one day we will stay the night since we learned you can stay there via a ride from Juneau Lighthouse tours!

I took my dad on this tour when he came to visit me in Juneau, and we LOVED it. Getting picked up and dropped off downtown makes it very convenient, we learned a lot about the mining history of Juneau, and had the best time panning for gold at the end of the tour. A really worthwhile tour, run by a great group of people.

The Whale Project Park is located about a 1/4 mile from downtown Juneau. The whales’ Tlingit name is Tahku which I’ve been told means “fierce winds”. If you’re on a cruise ship, it’s well worth the walk to see this astounding display of art.

This life size bronze sculpture/fountain is surrounded by an infinity pool and has water that sprays out of many areas of the breaching whale. If you look from a distance the whale melds into the channel with Douglas Island across the way.

Eagle Beach is in a beautiful spot......and yes, it has lots of eagles:-] I couldn't find much information, before booking one of their three State owned cabins so this might help others. They are all heated by kerosene stoves, which work great and you have to bring your own camping pad or mattress. The main differences between the cabins, in my opinion, is the view you get from each cabin. The Saturday Creek cabin is closest to the mouth of the river and has the best views of mountains and eagles. The Berry Patch cabin is also by the river and also has nice mountain views. but a little further away. The Martin cabin is in the woods away from the river so it has no views....except trees :-] The Saturday Creek and Berry Patch cabins will have people walking by a lot and the Martin cabin is more private.

We took a drive on Douglas to sight see. Great views and trails.
You could get a "cool" feeling up in the snow.

Calling this an Island, while correct, underestimates its size, and depth of scenery and beauty. Yes, we saw a brown bear! and Whales, Whales and Whales! and More! Take the Gondola to see the whole view
