What travelers are saying
- Sue ZMaineville, OH313 contributionsWeather was lousy with rain so we stayed in the car most of the time. We did see the bears there. The elk and reindeer were interesting but nothing overly impressive.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Uwe B3 contributionsGreat tour and guide ..really got a chance to see Alaska and some of the things people talk about.
Very enjoyable, informative, interesting and fun
Would go again next time I am in AlaskaWritten August 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Had a drink at the bar and shopped the roundhouse museum. Highly recommend.Written August 12, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - love 2 travelCincinnati45 contributionsThe weather was inclement, the hike a little long, but was it worth it? You betcha! Would I recommend? You betcha!Written July 31, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- gregaustexAustin, TX267 contributionsWe hiked this trail knowing that the hand tram is shut down for repairs. It is a great trail regardless. Easy boardwalks and gravel make this a good trail for beginners. Easy access from Alyeka resort.Written August 5, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Dale PPerrysburg, OH203 contributionsWe don't ski, but got to ride the ski lift up and down the mountain. We were in Girdwood for the forest fair and wanted to see mountains. This is a must doWritten July 4, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- The_5_WinksYoungstown, NY143 contributionsVery nice area. We visited near the portage glacier and found beautiful views and trails.
There is one trail that takes you back to the glacier.Written July 17, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kreber668Bentonville, AR167 contributionsThis was a well marked trail entrance with limited parking out front as it is on residential gravel road with new home construction. It is an easy .5 mile hike in and out total. The water roars over the falls and it is a beautiful rainforest canopy with hemlocks and moss and ferns. Very nice!Written June 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Jennifer MFresno, CA89 contributionsWe visited as part of a tour on the way to Anchorage from Seward. It was awesome! Tim - the chief creative for the company - walked us through the tasting. We loved hearing the story about the brewery and the beer was good!Written July 15, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Rob SBoise, ID644 contributionsThis was probably the best visitor center we saw on our trip. Exhibits were informative and the large windows were great.Written July 27, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - gnp67Commack, NY314 contributionsThis was a perfect way to break up our drive from Denali to Seward. The area is very nice. The waterfall is right there and a short walk away is this beautiful creek that feeds the waterfall. We did not do any of the longer trails but I’m sure it is worth it. The only thing is it is very hard to enter because it is on the side of a highway.Written August 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Michael WRedding, CT957 contributionsWe loved this quaint little art shop which is staffed by the artists whose work is on display on a rotation basis. We could have bought more had we not been short of room for the flight home but we thought the prices were very reasonable.Written September 21, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Leaddog83Sydney199 contributionsIt is now known as the Alaska Wildlife Conservation Center, but does a great job of getting people up close to the animals. The Bears are obviously a huge attraction with both brown and black bears, and the feeding time is always interesting, although disappointing to see such wild creatures penned up. However, this is a sanctuary for problem or orphaned animals, so they are doing very good work here to protect the animals, while giving the population the chance to experience these magnificent creatures in person. Very much worth a visit!Written November 17, 2015This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- DadandCabCoffs Harbour, Australia1,007 contributionsThe roundhouse is predominantly a shop these days, but the board walk around the outside and the accompanying photos are well worth the stop. It's at the end of a covered walkway when you exit the tram so it's not difficult to get there.Written August 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
