My family did horseback riding, zip lining and the ATV’. The guides were all awesome. The lunch was very good and the place itself was beautiful. We would highly recommend this.
Enjoyable 2+ mile / 3 km walk round a well-surfaced path and across 8 hanging bridges - the longest over 100m long - with excellent views of the forest canopy from close-up and over sections of it when we crossed a wide valley, and opportunities to spot monkeys and a range of birds. Very safe, but we somewhat regretted not having a local guide to help us understand what we were seeing. The one frustration in some ways was that it was dry and hot and there wasn’t a trace of the clouds that give the forest its name…. Worth visiting, but perhaps not quite as striking as we’d expected.
The trip was worth it! Our tour guide took us to a few good restaurants and explained everything to us. The waterfall was amazing , though the stairs were hard. The sloth tour was great and the tour guide was very knowledgeable.
What a fun day. Enrique was our guide and was fantastic. On our last day in Costa Rica we had flown into San Jose and were looking for an activity to do. So happy we decided to do private ATV tour. I grew up 4 wheeling, so I loved having my kids get to experience it. Fantastic trails - shallow rivers, mountain trails through a farm - saw cows, horses, iguanas, lot of mud to go through if you wanted. Stopped and took a few family pictures. Rode down to the beach and Enrique pointed out a mom and baby sloth! We had drinks and tacos at the restaurant back at the base. Mojitos and tacos were delicious. Ended up being a perfect last day and one of our favorite excursions.
The tour was a great way to see different parts of Costa Rica! The hikes in the forests were really exciting, and our guide Luis was very knowledgeable, helped us find a lot of hidden animals, and was accommodating and flexible, even if there were unforseen things like heavy rainfall blocking the roads. The highlights for us were the bridges in Monteverde, a sloth we vere lucky to see up close in Manuel Antonio National Park, the hot springs and chifrijo 😄
Thank you for a great tour of Costa Rica! We saw so many animals, plants and 2 national parks. The guide Luis had the Pura Vida spirit and was a great driver too! . I don't think you could do as much and still not feel rushed on your own. We had good accommodations and great food. GREAT JOB AYE.
We were in Costa Rica for enough time to realize there's never enough time and always something to do and see. That said, we booked at the VERY last second (about midnight the day before) and Jose was excellent in making this work very last second! Our guide, Manuel, was great. He was flexible with pick up and drop off and took us to the Starbucks Tour and to do a hike on the Poás Volcano. Manuel was super knowledgeable and friendly. Would definitely recommend it to those reading this review!
Our guide was Manuel B.—very friendly and kind soul. We improvised a bit since my husband and I had come in on a red eye and were exhausted: we needed a low-key day and we’re planning to stay in Monteverde rather than returning back to San Jose. We went on backroads to avoid traffic and drove past smaller towns and hillsides as we asked him more about what it was like to live here, and learned more about Costa Rica culture. Our first stop was to Puntarenas to see the ocean and cool our feet in the water. He found us some coconuts and we had a refreshing drink before driving up to Monteverde. Here we had a wonderful leisurely meal at the Open Kitchen cafe and went to the beautiful and charming Butterfly refuge. Wanting to get back to the hotel for dinner, we made a last stop at the coffee shop at the Monteverde cloud forest preserve. We sat on the porch at the café and listened to and watched multiple hummingbirds feeding. So peaceful and thrilling for us. Bird sounds filled the air. Then back to our hotel. Lovely personalized day! Manuel is a genuine and generous person and we glad to have met him. Wonderful experience!
What a great company! The staff were all personable and knowledgeable. We had wonderful guides; the events and food were top notch. Admin staff were responsive in answering our questions, requests and handling some of the troubles we encountered. We would totally book through them again!!
I cannot recommend this highly enough. Organiser Yojhan and tour guide Leslie ensured we had a magical 3 days tailored around us and our needs and desires. They were able and happy to adapt to last minute changes and alterations to ensure we got the most out of our time. Accommodation, food and our transfer were all great value and we were able to get the best from the services the locals provided through their connections.
We took a day tour because after this we went to bocas. We hesitated if it was worth the trouble. Because you can't see the turtles they only come at night. But it was awesome. The guide told us a lot of things about Ticos. On the way we saw 2 kind of sloths. And on the tour a lot of monkeys and kayman.
Note that you can't swim in the sea because of the waves.
