An absolutely stunning beach. Had such a great tour getting to the beach and loved getting to then swim and enjoy the amazing water. What a beautiful spot- a must for sure!

We came here on the recommendation of our hotel in Manuel Antonio and it was one of the highlights of our trip! The road to get here is pretty rough but we had a 4X4 and had no problem. We bought tickets when we arrived. The trails are well marked. There are suspension bridges, swimming under waterfalls, hikes through the rain forest and a delicious authentic Costa Rican lunch. We spent a half day here and loved it!

Quepos might have been our favorite experience in our 10day trip of the Western region of Costa Rica. We asked around for which beaches to visit while we were there. The locals all mentioned Espadilla and told us to avoid Manuel Antonio(which we didn't and should have listened to them ha). Each night we walked to the end of Espadilla and sat under a palm tree to watch the surfers and sunset. It was beautiful.

Personally, we avoided the northern part of the beach at all costs. There was one day where there was NOT even one spot to sit due to all the rental chairs, umbrellas and tents that people put out trying to make a few colones...pretty irritating until you figure out where to go.

One of our favorite beaches ever! Endless views, waves, sloths in the trees, super quiet... Be careful of rip tides, we spent hours in the water but could feel the current pulling us. Were shocked and entertained by a herd of cows that came barreling on to the beach for a dip, only to stroll down the beach and then seemingly walk back home. A slightly creepy machete wielding dude trying to sell us ‘coconuts’ was the only thing we did not love. Locals gave us signs to keep away from him. Otherwise, a perfect beach for us!

There are some reviews about this place being overrated. They're not wrong. There are reviews that say it's the greatest thing they've ever been to. They're not totally wrong either! We saw agouti, quetzal, sloths, howler and capuchin monkeys, deer, toucan, iguanas, and other birds. It was quite enjoyable! You have to (or should? It's unclear) buy your tickets online ahead of time. We did and it was easy to enter. We stayed walking distance to the park, so had none of the parking problems that sound like a nightmare. Hiking a little further in will get you away from the crowds (at least during shoulder season), but all three sloths we saw were in trees directly above two different bathrooms ¯\_(ツ)_/¯. Some of the trails, especially on Catedral are, indeed, falling apart as other reviews have said. But it's all very manageable (even stroller accessible!) in most of the park and the distances are easy. We walked all of the trails within a couple hours. The furthest trail out to Playa Escondido was said to be closed, so that was the only one we didn't do. We laid on the beach next to done iguanas, and that was wonderful :)

A very peaceful place to visit. We enjoyed swimming in the springs and river. Lunch was delicious also. I would recommend this if you’re looking for something cool and shady off the beaten path.

Olman is the ultimate guide! He is incredibly knowledgeable and took us on a magnificent private tour of Manuel Antonio National Park. Birds galore! Also saw lizards, frogs, insects, monkeys, and my own personal favorite- the majestic sloth! He’s got an excellent telescope and helps get the absolute best photos. Don’t hesitate to book a tour with Olman!

Although the market is fairly compact, the quality was amazing. I wish that we had had the opportunity to purchase from the market this trip around. The fresh fruit and vegetables were beautiful. They also had some local arts and crafts. The local people were very helpful.

The Bee Farm Tour outside Manuel Antonio is one of the most extraordinary tours I have been on. Miguel taught us about the different type bees, their jobs in the hive and the healthy properties in honey and the superfood. He and Jamie had us suit up then took us up to the hives (10 hives, each with 20000-30000 bees) to show us the infrastructure of the honey colony. Afterwards, Miguel’s wife prepared a traditional Costa Rican meal of chicken, rice, beans, salad and plantains and freshly squeezed lemonade.
CAUTION: we were there at the beginning of rainy season and were not prepared for the slick paths that ascended to the hives. Wearing normal tennis shoes, we slipped and fell some (we are not seasoned hikers) but no one was seriously injured.

We do an adventure trip every year. This is by far the best adventure we have ever had. Ramirez drove us 4x4 style while telling us the story of how he and his wife started the tour. Then Maykol hands out high end gear while Franklin ribs out the jokes. You start with the longest and most beautiful zip line run the God could imagine. A few lines later you are rappelling down a very small hill with Ramirez’s nephew Berny who is such a nice guy and makes sure you are comfortable (while probably watching to see if you are a moron). Maykol will meet you at the bottom to send you on a trip into a waterfall with a very short drop into a pool (that you control). Then it is off down a rappelling/zip line like you have never experienced. Danny captures all the moments in high resolution so don’t bring your camera. Then Johnny Depp (forgot his name) sends you on a Tarzan swing and then you eat a snack in the jungle while sipping clean spring water from the mountain. Then it’s back down the mountain with Ramirez telling the best stories to his wife Jenny’s home cooked meal. They do all of this to preserve 40 acres of rainforest. 10 out of 5. These guys are great.
