    A fun experience!
    This was my first time trying to surf. Patsy was a very encouraging and fun instructor. She thoroughly explained safety procedures and boarding tips on shore before we got into the water. I was so excited to get up on the board. Can’t wait to try again. I have found my passion.

    Amazing Surfing Lessons in Guanacaste
    Outstanding experience with Iguana Surf! It was so much fun for all beginner surfers. We had a party of 8 ranging from 9 to 48 and our instructors (Kurt, Kevin, Luis and Kendal) got us all up in a two hour lesson. It was so much fun! I would highly recommend this experience. We will definitely be back!

    Great instructor!!! Must book!
    Great instructor! We booked last minute and he was able to get us in! We had three boys -ages, 16, 14 and 11. In 30 minutes they were already catching waves!!!! They had a blast. When we come back to Costa Rica we will be booking again! Pura Vida!

    Best surf coach ever
    My wife and I spent a week in Tamarindo for surfing. We booked a 3-day package with iguana surf and were absolutely amazed.
    We tried surfing several times in Europe and Hawaii and always had a coach. Jonathan of iguana surf has been by far the best coach we have ever had!!!
    In only there days we learned so incredibly much. We advanced from foamies to hard boards and he had us turn in a day. His coaching is absolutely superb with excellent communication skills, spot on oberservation on what and how to improve and above all he creates an amazing vibe in the water.

    Absolutely loved the time spent with Jonathan and highly recommend getting a session with him - best coach you can find anywhere!!!

    Exceptional surf coaching
    Manu was an exceptional surf coach. I took private lessons for 3 days to learn to surf for the first time and enjoyed the hell out of it. He’s so good at what he does - explaining everything clearly, asking for your feedback, bringing upbeat energy, etc. I’ll be back for more lessons if I come back! Thank you again for the great experience, Manu!

    Excellent instructor
    Leandro is a very good instructor with lots of knowledge and experience. He gives clear directions and suggestions on what you need to improve. Reading material is provided for those who are interested. Make sure to book in advance as he is in high demand.

    Very Fun Despite the Rain
    Surfing lessons in Tamarindo were great! The waves weren't gigantically scary and the water was pretty calm. My sister and I decided to surf and our instructor was Tommy. He was very sweet and genuinely wants to get to his clients while he teaches you to surf. It was unfortunate our lesson got cut short because the lightning storms came. We still had a great experience regardless of the rain, also the rain wasn't too rough.

    Julio and Marco are two amazing and funny instructors who showed us the basics of surfing. We definitely recommend them!

    Amazing surf lesson for all levels
    Mario was incredible! I’ve never surfed before and within 30 minutes of being out in the water I was catching waves and riding them in. He is very patient and helpful. Would recommend!!

    Great Instructor, Great Time
    We had a blast. The instructor was very helpful and very patient. We all got up.
    Ask for Raphael - the owner, he coordinated everything with our hotel.
    They take great pictures to buy.
