Tío Leo packs a lot into this tour! We learned so much about his method of growing coffee at low altitude as well as many interesting facts about native Costa Rican trees, fruits, and nuts. As well as a tour through the property, we made our own empanadas (yum!), pressed sugarcane, and drank chocolate milk made with cacao beans roasted and ground on-site. We enjoyed the coffee and sugarcane tastings. Tío Leo and everyone we interacted with were so friendly and informative. It was one of the highlights of our stay in Costa Rica!

I HIGHLY recommend coming here when visiting Costa Rica! The staff were extremely nice. Our tour guide Jeremy (I believe that’s his name) was interactive with everyone during the tour. This was my boyfriend and I first time doing a Safari Tour which exceeded our expectations 😍! The part also has a waterfall, kayaking, and many more to do! The price was well worth it.

**TIP: Definitely should buy the carrots that they sell to feed the animals ($2 a bag). It makes the experience even better**

The park is not too crowdy despite Guachipelin hotel. You can have a quiet walk in the middle of the trees.
The waterfall La Cangreja is very nice, you can swim, it is a sunny place most of the day. The access is close after 1pm.
Las Pailas track is interesting, you can see and feel volcan activities. We have seen a lot of monkeys playing in the trees after 4pm.
By the end of the day you can have a glass at the hotel for reasonable price during Happy Hour !
You can use the same entry ticket for both park entry Pailas and Casora Santa Maria, but it is hard to do everything in the same day.

Hands down one of the best, if not THE best, beach that we have hit in Costa Rica, and we’ve been to quite a few. Contained within the scenic, and quite large, Bahia Samara this is an absolute kid favourite, a long shallow fine sand slope leading to some pretty profound surf sure to satisfy even the most discriminating surfing enthusiasts. With shops, restaurants and amenities close by, yet not crowded or busy even directly off of the main “strip”, Playa Samara is a perfect combination of largely empty beach, beautiful scenery, and proximity to amenities.

We love animal rescue missions and this turned out to be another rewarding experience. They're doing great work. Only head scratcher was that there appeared to be a lot of infrastructure - seemingly too much to support less than 25-30 animals

Want to let the people in charge know that the staff at ScubaCaribe is top notch. Camillo was very informative with all of the services your company provides for the guests at the Guanacaste Riu. He gave us an awesome price on the Catamaran Sunset tour. We liked it so much that we later purchased the water taxi to Coco Beach, and also chartered a half day fishing trip through you as well.

The Catamaran trip included snorkeling. Under water, we saw sea turtles, schools of colorful fish, and manta rays. Our guide, "Rhasta" was very informative and helpful in many ways. He took photos of us in caves that are only accessible during low tide, and was a wealth of information about the area and its many attractions. They provided all the necessary equipment, fruit, and water bottles. The Captain's name was Orlando and he did a great job as well.

Rhasta was with us again for the water taxi to Coco Beach and it was interesting to have him inform us of all the celebrities that have homes in the Papagayo Gulf, as we passed them on the way to Coco Beach. The Captain even took us into some caves so we could see all the crabs scurrying away as we pulled close. These extra things are not necessary to get you from point A to point B, but they sure were appreciated.

As for the deep sea fishing, we had 4 people, plus the Captain ("Macho"), and his first mate. To be honest, we did not catch huge fish. We opted for a less expensive trip (less than $250 for all four of us) with bottom fishing instead of trolling, but that said, every person caught more than one fish. And the crew was very helpful with tips and techniques to make sure we did not go back empty handed. We ended up keeping 4 of the dozen fish caught and took them back to the hotel for the chef to cook them up for us. All the equipment and bait were provided, and we had a great morning with these guys.

We did a boat tour with Costour Plenty of wildlife to see. Our guide Felix, AKA, eagle eye, spotted so many things and pointed them out to us that just looking on our own would have missed.
The boat tour is approx. 1.5 hours long. Followed by a beautiful typical Costa Rican lunch.

This beach does not have sharp rocks and offers a long shallow entry. There are safe parking areas with guards who work for tips. They are attentive and the locals trust them with car keys while they surf,

Cool spot on the beach. Good beer and great service. The half ass nachos (half order) were enough to fill two people. The quesadillas were yummy too.

We stayed at the Reserva Conchal and that grants you access to the Westin’s beach club which is the best way to access this beach. The water is pristine and the sand glimmers because of the crushed shells. As much as I loved the clearness and the beautiful turquoise color, you have to be very careful with the waves. Although the waves are not high, they are very strong when they come ashore and when they pull back. Be careful with small kids.

You can get a massage on the beach anywhere between $20-30 per 50mins. You can see some howling monkeys as well.

Thoroughly enjoyed my visit to this beautiful beach.

We visited Barrigona beach whilst staying near by, and what a beach it is! Hardly anyone around, beautiful white sand and warm sea water! Breathtaking!

Absolutely incredible experience. Sensoria is a truly special place, where you hike from waterfall to waterfall, hot spring to spring, encountering truly beautiful sights at every step of the way. Our guide, Joaquin, was extremely knowledgeable and kind, and I can’t recommend him enough. And the other very special part about Sensoria is the privacy — it’s a reserve so you have almost the entire place to yourself. We never shared any spring or waterfall with more than 1 other family. And the food is delicious! Enjoy your trip!!

You have to leave your car at the free parking at the entry of the peninsula. Then a bus will drive you.
Playa Nacascolo is the first beach at the entry of peninsula. You can continue with another bus until playa Blanca which is wonderful.
There is always a peace of white sand even if tide is up. You can see a lot of fish in the water, just snorkeling. There are trees for giving shadow.
There is few people because there are 600 stairs to access the beach.
You have to bring your own food and drink because there is no restaurant or bar on the beach.
You have a nice view on the bay in front of Panama and Hermosa playas.
The last bus to move back to the car is at 5pm.
