10/10 recommend! Loved this tour, and David was an amazing guide! Started with a tour of the field which was so interesting to see and hear about the processes. Then to taste everything was so good! Really feel like I got my money's worth, and I liked supporting a local small business.

I loved this tour! Not only did we learn some surprising facts about the caffeine content of espresso, the ideal temperature to brew coffee at, and the different methods of brewing coffee, but we also got to taste some amazing coffee and chocolate at the end of the tour.

Our guide was humorous, open-minded, and extremely knowledgeable about both coffee and chocolate and encouraged questions throughout the tour. 10/10 recommend!

My husband and I went to CR for our honeymoon and our day at the Arenal Rainforest was one of our favorite memories from the trip. We did the hanging bridges park, la Fortuna waterfall, and thermal springs. Our guide Carlos was excellent and extremely knowledgable of the surrounding flora and fauna. This experience was totally worth the price!

The underground Venado cave tour was honestly amazing to me. I am a person who loves the mountains and mysterious things and this adventure called to me more than anything else. I wish it could have been hours longer-I would explore all day! My guide and driver picked me up from my hostel and immediately I felt welcomed, safe, and super comfortable. The shuttle was very clean and spacious, and the guide (I am so sorry for forgetting his name) was very informative and liked to chat if you wanted to learn things along the way. One of the things I respected most abut this tour was Ecoterra’s respect for the cave. They were very careful to explain that we come in and come out without damaging or taking anything from the cave and not leaving a footprint so to speak. I can appreciate this very much. I felt very safe during the experience, even when crawling through tight spaces and going down steep caverns. Do not doubt your ability to do any of the tunnels because the guide will instruct you and support you 100% of the way. I recommend this tour for families with kids who have a desire to explore and who aren’t afraid of being claustrophobic or bats. You will see bats and some creepy crawlies and many calcium deposits that feel magical. Don’t be afraid of being attacked by a bat or any bugs- this will not happen in this environment. After the tour, Ecoterra also provided a very clean towel to wash up with and the facilities that you are at are clean and don’t feel gross at all. Very well kept area and they served us fruit snacks and water afterwards- which was delicious and abundant! Please book this adventure through Ecoterra, you will not forget it.

So glad I got to do this! It was truly a perfect day. A beautiful drive there. Stopped at a nice bakery and coffee shop on the way. The hike through Rio Celeste was beautiful. Especially for nature lovers. After the hike we had a delicious lunch. There was a nice area that we were able to swim in. Beautiful drive back with a surprise stop on the way.

What an amazing activity that lets you see the beauty of Costa Rica! Our tour guide was super helpful and nice (even when we got stuck) and it was such a fun ride- rain or shine! (the rain actually is perfect to get you a little less muddy) plus we stopped at a beautiful river where we could cliff jump and hang by natural vines! definitely a highlight of my trip to La Fortuna!!

Me family just came back from a beautiful vacation in Costa Rica. My 16 year old daughters favorite part was the farm experience. She loved feeding the monkeys and bathing the pigs. Isela and her family are so welcoming. We ate breakfast and dinner at their restaurant which was delicious. Thanks for everything!!!

Absolutely loved our boat tour on Lake Arenal. It was a one hour tour, and the views of the mountains on all sides and the lake was simply breathtaking. We got to go really close to Arenal and got some gorgeous pictures. You also get to see the Monteverde cloud mountains from the lake. Watching the sunset from the boat made it all the more worth it! Our boat captain Rito was super friendly! Highly recommend this if you are looking for a calm, relaxing time with gorgeous views of nature all around you.

This was a great place to stop and visit in the Fortuna area. The family that owns this park has taken great strides to keep it natural and to provide an authentic experience. We were able to see Sloths from the beginning all the way through to the end along with birds and camen. We had a great time!

We had a fantastic time on this tour! It is very well organized. Jason, Danilo, and Andres were excellent guides!! Jason was our lead tour guide and was extremely knowledgeable about all things nature and animals. Danilo was an amazing driver - navigating the roads and finding animals while we drove. Andres was very helpful in pointing out animals on the boat. We saw sloth, monkeys, caymans, birds, lizards, butterfly. Lunch was included which was a delicious Casado. We got to see the border to Nicaragua. They went above and beyond on this tour. Would highly recommend this team of experts. Thank you Jason, Danilo and Andres.

Incredible tour with Zender! I booked this tour because I was trying to squeeze so many activities into a few short days in Arenal and this tour covered 3 of the sites I wanted to visit. My travel buddy was against spending so much for a private tour instead of just booking various group activities, but I insisted that it would be a time saver, so ultimately he agreed. It turned out to be our favorite day on the entire 10 day trip and 110% worth it!!! Zender, our guide, was absolutely wonderful! He was so nice and knowledgeable and accommodated all of our requests. We wanted to have a super authentic Costa Rican lunch, so he adjusted our lunch plans and took us to a roadside cafe with excellent Costa Rican food. He also stopped on the roadside after spotting a surprisingly active sloth in a nearby tree. He set up the minocular telescope and we spent time watching the sloth move through the trees. Zender was also able to spot a myriad of wildlife species within the hanging bridge area.

While we were out on our tour, we mentioned several other activities we were trying to plan including several point-to-point transfers we hadn't yet booked. Zender contacted Sirleny at the Traluxu Travel office and by the end of the day, Sirleny had helped us to book everything. In addition, she suggested a private crocodile tour on our transfer from Arenal to Manuel Antonio, as well as a sunset catamaran tour while in Manuel Antonio. We booked both activities, and we are SO happy we did. Those excursions turned out to be other highlights of the trip. I am very thankful we found this company. I only wish I had known about their services and expertise sooner! Next time, I will contact them in advance and have them help me set up the entire trip. Everything they arranged was seamless, stress-free, and top notch. I can't say enough good things about this tour and about this company. Thank you!
