We had so much fun and saw a heap of sloths and monkeys. Isaac informed us of the ants, bush life and wildlife in the area and how their eco systems work. Our guides - Franklin, Uriel, and Max were very friendly, knowledgable and made the trip such an incredible experience. They made every moment feel like we were family. They made it so we all feel comfortable and made sure we all had a great time. This tour is definitely worth every single penny! The amount of things you do for thier price is incredible. They always ensured our safety and always were patient with us. These 3 men have to be your tour guide ! - Sean T3 contributionsGreat hikes in multiple areas around La Fortuna including a nature walk with hanging bridges. Our guide was excellent, and went out of her way to find and point out animals along the path. My wife and I really enjoyed the trip. But they gave us instructions and time to practice. Very crowded but we had a great time- got there later than planned at 3:45pm (last time to enter is 4:00pm) so we went down the stairs quickly and were told we would need to head back up at 4:30pm. She took the time to take photos for everyone with our iPhones looking through the scope lens and the videos/pics look awesome! This was better than expected and I highly recommend. - 105jimkSaskatoon, Canada330 contributionsMy wife and I took a tour (11 people + guide) of the hanging bridges. It was a very nice day, although we did get a big downpour for about 10 minutes that left us soaked (but not a big issue). The tour included picking up all of the guests, which involved four stops enroute. Our driver, Orlando, was also the guide on the site tour. Orlando was very pleasant and knowledgeable. There were a lot of people on site, so at a few of the hanging bridges we had to wait in line for several minutes before we could cross. We did see some wildlife, but not as much as we had expected and hoped for. Monkeys, one sloth, a family of coatis, a couple of tiny snakes, a few birds, etc. The walk involves a fair bit of climbing up and down, some on stairs, but it was quite enjoyable. At the end of the tour, Orlando provided some pineapple and banana as a treat. There are toilet facilities at the start of the tour. If you are at all concerned about not being a strong swimmer or safety - there was never a moment I felt unsafe or uncomfortable. Our guide Alex was concerned with safety first and foremost which was wonderful. He was knowledgeable about the rapids, wildlife, plants, and the area. - tempexplorer10 contributionsWe booked a guide directly with Mistico and it was worth it. She (Mey) was fantastic, and the price was very reasonable for a guided group in Costa Rica. We saw animals that we wouldn't have otherwise because of our guide pointing them out and also showing them to us using her spotting scope.
