What travelers are saying
- allen29014 contributionsI thought it was gonna be crap based on the reviews, but it's actually a nice day trip, especially if you have young kids. The trucked in sand is clean and the water is OK if only for wading. Food choices not great but that's probably because they want to keep the place clean. The locals are not big.on.sunbathing and prefer to pitch a tent and chill out. All in all not bad for 20rmb and a 40min train ride from Shamghai South.Written October 1, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Since the nearest beach from Shanghai is Jinshan (even if its fake), so I think it's better than nohing at all.
From Pudong, the journey took 2 hours. First by Metro Line 1 until Zhejiang Park, and thentook bus ShiMei Xian (石梅线) for 1 hour, get off at Shihua Qiche Zhan (石化汽车站) and walked 20min to the beach.
I came in November, so the weather is colder, but there not so many people, which is satisfy me. Oh and no entrance fee when I came.
The water is still, no wave. And there are few games, like trampoline, water baloon shooting, volley ball, jetski, etc. But now, in autumn (or winter?) No one play these games. After spent 3 hours walking (I took many pics, without taking pics 1-2 hours is enough) I reached the end of the beach, and apparently this is a spot for couples take their pre wedding pictures.
One block walk from parking lot, I took a bus Lianshi Zhuan Xian (莲石专线) to Lianhua Metro Station (Line 1), I think it took longer about 1.5 hours. Overall, I am satisfied, but still you can't compare this to the real beach.. miss beach so much.
