Nice, safe, walking area in Shanghai. We walked the riverfront at night. Unique lights along the way. One day I will return to China again.

I love how busy this street always is. It’s in central area in Shanghai, and perfect place for many occasions - solo shopping, friends hangout or dates. You get to see all walks of life here, and good places for street photography

Take your Shanghai pictures memories here, the world famous views of pudong can be take. Here. Plenty of good spots to admire the shanghai skyline, take the rivers cruises and walking distance from many touristy places like the bund, Nanjing street and upscale restaurants. It’s a must while you visit Shangai and never regret.

A lot of things changed during COVID-19 Pandemic, but not the extraordinary service provided by Heping Fandian's team! Heping Hotel has been my favorite hotel in China since 2018. I met Zoey, their talented and excellent front desk operator who helped me a lot during my stay. China is changing rapidly since last I was there. Zoey was kind and informative. She made my visit in China much more easier. The room she gave me have impeccable street view. It always makes me want to extend my stay.

I recently visited the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao as a solo traveler, and I had a great time! The town is absolutely beautiful, with its narrow streets, traditional Chinese architecture, and canals. I really enjoyed exploring the town and learning about its history.

The only downside was that it was quite crowded, especially on weekends. This made it difficult to get around at times, and it was also hard to find a quiet spot to sit and relax. However, the crowds didn't detract from my overall enjoyment of the visit.

Overall, I would definitely recommend visiting the Ancient Town at Zhujiajiao. It's a great place to spend a day exploring and learning about Chinese culture. Just be sure to go during the week if you want to avoid the crowds.

    Tips:

    1. Visit during the week to avoid the crowds.
    2. Wear comfortable shoes, as you'll be doing a lot of walking.
    3. Bring a camera to capture all the beautiful sights.
    4. Be sure to try some of the local food.

I enjoyed doing some last-minute souvenir shopping in Tianzifang. It's a nice little area with all the usual Chinese souvenirs on offer (tea, silk, jade, pottery, etc). Worth popping by. Go early, it'll be quieter.

There are many western unique building in China. But,I like this building I used to walk along bund to see the beautiful building The entrances, the lobbies, the grandeur of the buildings. Just wonderful to see them repurposed in many cases or continue to provide the purpose from a century ago.

Surprisingly this temple is nice, a good size and historical. Just walking distance from the Changshou metro station line 7. There’s a variety of statues of gods and goddesses to be admired snd prayed (if you are a Buddhist). There are 2 Jade buddhas, one reclining and one sitting upright. Both in different parts of the temple. The reclining buddha is in white jade and the sitting buddha is in green jade. Sitting buddha sits in an airconditioned room where no photography is allowed. Pretty cool visit!

Tickets are 50RMB - open daily 7am to 5pm according to Smart Shanghai).

It say here that 2-3 hours is needed we were there for less than one and that was fine.

Having seen the temple from outside on a number of occasions (living in in Shanghai since summer 2020) we finally got around to being in the area when it is open so we went in. It does look amazing at night.

That was after trying to buy tickets - scanned a QR code, requested a text verification but it never came. Same thing for my wife (she isn't local either) luckily we had cash (can't remember the last time we carried any so we were sent inside and off into the room at the right, under the bell tower, which seems to be a place just for donations; there was a walled area in the middle with coins and notes, like a dry wishing well.
It wasn't too busy (four days before the new lunar year) so it was very pleasant to walk around.
Now that we have seen the temple I will only go back when my parents visit, I do not need to see it again.
