We toured with Annie two days in a row in Shanghai. On this tour, she took us to Jade Buddha Temple, Old Town, and French Concession. She gave just the right amount of detail without making it overwhelming. She took us for lunch and ensured we enjoyed variety of local foods. I’d highly recommend touring with Annie in Shanghai!

We went to various authentic places in Shanghai and tried local cuisine. Our guide Jade was very knowledgeable and flexible so she showed us more about things we were interested in. We also talked about life in China in general, it was like meeting an old friend. Absolutely recommend!

Mary picked us up from the cruise ship port by taxi. 9am and right on time. Mary took us to the most popular sights since this was our first time in Shanghai. Wow. What a city. Old and new blended together. We visited a former house in the Chinatown of China. We saw a buddhist temple and then we went on to the French section. We were treated to lunch at a large food court. Delicious. We finished with the new section of Shanghai and then headed back to the ship. Our ship was docked far from the downtown area. One hour each way. Your tour will be what you make it. I highly recommend doing this!

Very good time! Annie was very helpful to show us what the local life is like. We got plenty of options to try different food, snacks and learn tradition.

The Kezhi garden is beautiful and takes you into the lifestyle from decades ago. The boat ride along the river was a pleasant experience and very calm. I would highly recommend visiting!

Jim was a great guide. I was the only person on the tour but we still had a great time. We ate many local food and Jim also explained about the history of the area, local lifestyles and well as many other interesting topics. We went to places I would not have been able to find on my own, all the customers were locals and it was a refreshing experience! Totally recommended!

We took the tour on our first night in Shanghai and it was actually a great introduction to the city and food. Our guide Topher was super knowledgeable in the different regions of China, the food, history, etc. He also shared some really helpful tips for the rest of our visit. He also did a wonderful job accommodating my vegetarian needs. There's no way I would have experienced food in Shanghai the same way without his help. Highly recommend!

It was extremely interesting to see the two different towns, enjoy the scenery and savour the local cuisine. The Watertown was nice and quaint, it supposedly looks like how China was in the past. The shops were cute, artsy and reasonably priced. The whole tour felt rushed though. Even though the advertisement indicates 10 hours, we were back at the hotel in 8. The advertised tour does not mention a minimum participant number, but as they only had our 2 person party, they informed us the night before the tour that we could cancel or pay an extra $100. As we had nothing planned and it was too late to get something else, we chose for the extra ‘cash’ payment. Our guide, Tom, spoke English exceptionally well, was very interesting and had tons of things to explain. We learned a lot! He made us feel rushed though. The lunch was very good (and way too much…) in a very authentic restaurant. We would maybe have preferred to eat in the water town, but no complaints at all.
So, beside from the feeling rushed, and the last minute $100 charge, we really enjoyed the tour and are very pleased we choose it!
