Bless Jim, our host. He’s a local from Shanghai. He has impeccable taste. And he has mastered the art of the city food tour. This is a magnificent introduction to Shanghai’s food scene. It’s also really fun. Without wanting to end on a sour note, if you don’t like this tour, you are the problem!

Our tour guide, Kalvin, was very informative and kind, children were enjoyed with the tour and extremely engaged in the trip. Tour guide was very well rounded with knowledge in the whole of China. He introduced us to many interesting concepts of Shanghai and China

    Overall, very good tour guide

Excellent tour with Tom. Very knowledgeable. Just the right amount of commentary then you get some time to explore each location before moving to the next place. Quite a bit of driving between locations which is ok because you get to look at the city. A fair amount of walking so wear good shoes and dress for the season. Very hot and humid in September. Lunch was great. Nothing too scary for a westerner.
We started at 8am and was back at hotel around 3.30pm but we were only a group of 3 so larger groups may take a little longer.
Silk ‘factory’ at the end is a little bit of a hard sell but you don’t need to buy anything. Don’t feel obligated !
    Fantastic clean and safe city.

We had an incredible tour in Shanghai with our guide, Feifei! She was exceptionally knowledgeable, friendly, and attentive, sharing fascinating insights into the city's history and culture. Feifei made sure we were comfortable throughout the tour and tailored the experience to our interests. Her passion for Shanghai truly shined through, making the entire trip unforgettable. If you're looking for a guide who is personable, professional, and goes above and beyond, Feifei is the perfect choice. Highly recommended for anyone visiting Shanghai!

If you want to go see Hangzhou you have to do a tour. Metro is not convenient and taxis charge flat 100-200 RMB because of severe traffic. To see other sites besides West Lake you need to go with private tour. We had private van with AC. Carline was great and fluent in English. She gave amazing detailed historical background on all our sites and knew the best photo spots. Lunch was amazing. Probably the best meal I have had all week in the Shanghai area. I would choose this tour again!

I spent a very enjoyable morning in the company of Ellen, who guided me around the streets of the French Concession and old Shanghai town.
I got lost and was late for our rendezvous at the hotel, but luckily Ellen had persevered and was still waiting for me.
Ellen is a mine of information on the history of the area, and at each stop we made, she would recite interesting historical facts. We made numerous stops along the way, including Fuxing Park, where there is a French and a Chinese garden. Ellen explained how the Chinese garden's design was
culturally influenced.  We watched groups of retired Chinese who used the park for social activities, including singing and Tai Chi. We also made stops at restaurants to savour local food. My favourite being the pork dumplings. The bike ride lasted about 4 hours, covering quite a few miles and many interesting sites. Afterwards, I was fitter and richer in the knowledge of this wonderful area of Shanghai. I would highly recommend this bike tour, and if you are lucky, you might get Ellen as your guide.

This is seriously a ‘must do’ on your trip-it was fantastic. We met Jade outside a subway station (easy to find) and she was immediately warm and welcoming. Her English is perfect-she is incredibly kind and willing to speak in English during the tour (thank you!). Jade asked several questions about our dietary requirements (I’m a vegetarian) and tastes, things we wanted to do/taste (tea). Jade organized a traditional tea ceremony for our group which was spectacular. She had also bought some traditional cakes to complement the tea ceremony. We had noodles, dumplings, tea and fruit (a visit to a fruit shop to taste all sorts of delicious things we do t get at home). Jade is knowledgeable, organized, friendly and took us on an incredible tour. Seriously can’t stress enough-do this tour!
(A couple of housekeeping points-Jade found us toilets along the way, for some of the tour we jumped in a taxi or two but there is still some walking, vegetarian options were delicious).

No chance to access the observation deck with the tickets provided. Very unclear message how to exchange a bar code to QR code. Finally managed to enter but it was after contacting the support center.

Suzhou is a beautiful place, with lots to offer. My guide, Berlin, was very knowledgeable and fun. She was also very flexible: when I expressed the desire to change a part of the trip, she helped me figure out alternatives. We opted for the Museum on the history of silk, which was absolutely beautiful and informative.

Berlin also helped me find my hat, when I lost it at the train station, and was very present throughout the trip.
    I highly recommend ber.

Best acrobatic performance! Some of the acts are better than Cirque de soleil. If you are in Shanghai do make some time to come attend this show, def worth your time. On weekends the performances last 100 min whilst the weekday performances are 60min. We attended the circus on a sun eve, it wasn’t even crowded…mainly tourists. VIP seats not necessary but make sure you get the Cat A seats. Whatever it is do attend!

It was extremely interesting to see the two different towns, enjoy the scenery and savour the local cuisine. The Watertown was nice and quaint, it supposedly looks like how China was in the past. The shops were cute, artsy and reasonably priced. The whole tour felt rushed though. Even though the advertisement indicates 10 hours, we were back at the hotel in 8. The advertised tour does not mention a minimum participant number, but as they only had our 2 person party, they informed us the night before the tour that we could cancel or pay an extra $100. As we had nothing planned and it was too late to get something else, we chose for the extra ‘cash’ payment. Our guide, Tom, spoke English exceptionally well, was very interesting and had tons of things to explain. We learned a lot! He made us feel rushed though. The lunch was very good (and way too much…) in a very authentic restaurant. We would maybe have preferred to eat in the water town, but no complaints at all.
So, beside from the feeling rushed, and the last minute $100 charge, we really enjoyed the tour and are very pleased we choose it!
