Frequent visit this place during my business trips to Shanghai. 7 storey building with many different shops selling collectibles from tea pots, stones, coins, banknotes and curios.

Not for amateurs as there could be repaired/restored items and worst case counterfeits.

We were looking for a large antique mall to spend time out of the Shanghai heat. This series of shops weas nice, but we wondered through all of them in about 30 mins. Good selection of northern China antiques - very similar to what we were use to seeing in Beijing.,

The sellers do not want to bargain much and when you area tourist they assume you will pay the asking price. Nice stuff though if looking for copies.

I guess this wasn’t really an antique market but more a tourist haven!
Wall to wall with trinket shops and shoulder to shoulder with local visitors there is still plenty of stuff to see.
However as for antiques? Look elsewhere!
