The bamboo park is a free walking trail in Prattville. First thing is that GPS is likely to send you the wrong directions, as it did to me about 3 times. It is in a bit of a sketchy part of Prattville but once you are in the park itself that is not an issue. The park is a bout a 10 minute circular route through a bamboo forest and around a little pond. Was surprised by how small it is and how quick you get done with it. I walked a few laps. I saw the beginnings of some smaller paths through the forest, including one that over looks a stream, which was nice. Overall, it is a good walk if you are in the area. However, it is not something to plan your whole day around.

A great park for the kids to play. Playground is for all ages, and there are a lot of activities outside the playground. Definitely a must visit for those who just moved here and for those who have been here a long time.

The family went here and enjoyed the water. Have to be careful walking since there are various rocks and trash in the water. I would not walk without shoes of some sort. Kids enjoyed going right up to the spillway. Lots of people seem to enjoy the creek regularly. Was out first time to enjoy the creek. Had to experience once before moving.

I was passing through exploring town on this beautiful Saturday afternoon and decided to stop. This museum did not disappoint, there were so much history pertaining to Prattville and Autauga County. A sweet young lady extended her help nd greeted me as I entered. I decided to take my time and explore the museum on my own. I enjoyed the museum and encourage you to stop by if you are in the area!

With Team RWB Montgomery, Creek Improvement Committee, and friends we cruised down and were able to collect some trash and make some adjustments to the overall creek. We were in Kayaks and I must say, it is smooth sailing for most of the creek.

The temperature, despite it being in June, was nice because of the cool breeze and lots of tree cover. We enjoyed ourselves a lot. There are some shallow areas and you have to maneuver your way through them but it is nice. Sometimes, you may have to climb out and walk but overall expect to just float down and navigate. There are numerous areas where you can stop and get out, to rest and have lunch or snack.

I would say, after seeing a lot of flotation devices popped and strung along the shore and in the trees, certain types of devices are not going to work in the creek. Please be responsible and clean up the trash after yourselves. Also, if you feel so inclined, bring a bag, and a reacher, and take some stuff out. Overall, enjoy yourself, be safe, and keep these natural areas clean and nice for everyone to enjoy.

There are many vendor spaces offering a great variety from boutique children’s clothing, ladies boutique clothing, jewelry, wreaths, farmhouse decor, gift items & so much more! It really is a one stop shop for all of your needs. Go check it out! You won’t regret it!

Great place to get your exercise. Sometimes there is a problem since they have soccer fields there and that make it hard to find a parking place.

Reading about Capitol Hill we learn it is named the #2 public golf facility in the country by Golf World readers. It also consistently receives praise from golfers. We are most impressed with the clubhouse, the staff, and the conditions of the course. Featuring three unique championship golf courses, it offers golfers three drastically different golf courses. The Senator is a Scottish-Links style course, while The Legislator is a more traditional course that plays in and out of pine trees and along a bluff overlooking the Alabama River. Today we are playing The Judge that features stunning vistas along the backwaters of the Alabama River. The starter shares that The Judge has water on 14 of its 18 holes. Standing on the tee box 200 feet above the fairway on the first hole of The Judge the scenery is magnificent. We can see the Montgomery skyline peeping above the treetops in the distance. Now to tackle this challenging and demanding course. It is impressive! Initially, water isn’t a factor. When water doesn’t come into play, hazards and bunkers bring challenges of precise shots. Think No. 17 at TPC Sawgrass. Yes, No. 6 a par-3 is all carry over water. It definitely plays longer. On the back nine we find a hole or two that seem simple but quickly find hazards that come into play. On No. 12 a par-3 it is surrounded by water and a marsh. At number 13 the lack of water is definitely made up by extensive fairway bunkers. It seems adding extra challenge to the par-3s is a theme for The Judge. At. No. 16, it is another water hazard surrounding the green. With a 200 foot elevation from the first tee on The Judge, we know that as we approach No. 18, we have to start going uphill to get back to the Clubhouse. Standing on the No. 18 tee we look down the fairway. Where is the green? It’s not visible from the tee box. It is an uphill dogleg with the green tucked off to the right and protected by bunkers, water, and rocks. Now that is a lot of extra challenge. It’s a fantastic day of golf on The Judge. The course is in very good shape and is thrilling to play. The water challenges add extra excitement to playing the course well. Afterwards we enjoy a tasty lunch at the Clubhouse and some shopping in the Pro Shop.

My wife and I came down to see one of our favorite bands, Lynam, that was playing at the bar. We were there with our friends and decided to get there early to eat. My wife had a BBQ sandwich and I had the burger. Both were very good, but the fries were a little cold. The drinks were great. We would definitely come back again.

Pratt Pub has pretty good food and while I stop in maybe once a year for the food and yummy spinach dip , it is very smoky in there. If your not a smoker beware 🤨 wish they would clean it up some and make it more family friendly , kids don’t need to be in there with all that smoke .

This friendly, cute shop has a great selection of candies and cool drinks. You can buy candies by weight and you can also buy boxes with treats specific to certain decades. Grab some sweets and enjoy them by the creek that runs through downtown.
