- ETraveler157 contributionsAn absolute treasure! The birding and wildlife are amazing and in abundance. Alabama has done an incredible job in preserving and protecting this park as well as maintaining the trails so everyone can enjoy them.Written March 16, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Britt HSpringfield, IL44 contributionsWe loved hiking in Bon Secour! We took the ferry over from Dauphin Island and arrived right at Bon Secour when it opened at 9. The lot was empty then but full when we left around 11!
Our family of 6 (youngest age 7!) enjoyed walking the Pine Beach Trail. The trail was well-marked and easy to walk / navigate. It was very tiring at parts because some of the trails were on sand - that gets hard to walk on after a while and could be very hot in the summer. But it was great for us in March, and well worth the effort…. the trail led us out to a beautiful, pristine, white sand beach where we saw dolphins swim by. It was magical!
We took the Gator Lake trail back, which led us to Mobile Ave. Earlier at the overlook, we met a nice volunteer who told us we might find an alligator on Mobile. He was right— we saw two! We didn’t see any in Gator Lake but they were in the swampy area off Mobile.
It was such a beautiful morning for our family.Written March 20, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. We went fairly early in the day and the animals were taking their late morning nap at the time or uh other things. (See pics) We enjoyed our time there.Written November 3, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- BonSBeach25 contributionsDecent arcade. The go cart tracks are the reason to go. They’ve added some smaller tracks recently, which is nice because it spreads folks out and keeps the lines limited. Putt-putt is worth doing too.Written July 1, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Kelly TOverland Park, KS31 contributionsGreat beer, great employees, great vibe (live music when we went). I heard that the Area 251 beer is quite good but they were out of the cans.Written March 24, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - searchthegulfOrange Beach, AL2 contributionsThe crystal-clear waters and white sandy shores of Alabama’s Gulf Shores provided the perfect backdrop for a memorable family excursion. The Alabama Coastal Birding Trail is a great way to explore this beautiful area.Written February 11, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Kelly RSpringfield, MO191 contributionsWe stopped by this place after finding it online and stumbling across a card at a local art museum. The sign on the door stated to call the number but the owner walked up before we did. *this is somewhere you must call first* We were inquiring about classes but this is not an option here. The owner was very friendly and knowledgeable of the area and there seemed to be quite a bit of pottery to choose from in his shop.Written December 8, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC.
