Wheeler Wildlife Refuge

It has a nature center, (short) walking trails, a nature observatory - which is a great place to view the Sandhill Cranes when they winter here.
The other nature trail takes you into a swamp where cypress, tupelo, and wetland oaks will amaze you visually.
Delano Park

Delano Park is a beautiful park especially for walking, playing, picnicking, and a splash pad for children in the summer.
It has a nice walking path around the park (a mile or so long).
Wilson Morgan Park

Good park, plenty of fun things for kids to do, tennis courts, baseball fields, batting cages, pavilion for parties, fishing pond, and walking trail.
Wilson Morgan Park has tons of ball parks, walking / running trail, pond with geese, kid fort adventure , ice machine and well lit for evening games.

I didn't use the marina portion of the park, but it looks like they could launch just about anything from there.
