Our tour guides Chetan and Raj were great! They were very helpful in explaining the history of the elephant caves. Would recommend this tour!

Linda Tours connected us with amazing guides for memorable fun experiences in Mumbai! Guide Manoush lives on Elephanta Island and was very informed about the stories of the carvings in the caves. He is also an excellent photographer who knows where all the best shots are and how to take them. He cares about his island’s history and people, and sharing his wisdom with visitors. Ask him to take one of his ‘magic pictures’ of you. It was good having Manoush by our side up and down the 120+ steps of the cave tour. The shopping on the way down from the caves was fun too. The hour-long ferry to and from the city/Mumbai was a nice way to cool off and take in the sights from the water.

Wasnt really sure what to expect, but booked the tour prior to leaving the UK, it was a full day (longer than the 5 hours stated), but traffic was bad due to a marathon !! the guide on the island actually lives there, he told us all about the history and made the trip interesting with stories of the Portugese invasion, there are shops and stalls all the way up the steps, be careful as one lady slipped due to paying too much attention to the stalls, - most of the items we bought were bartered down to around a quarter of the asking price

We had the Elephanta Caves and city tour. It was perfectly organized. Indian Magic Tours staff came at our appartment and took us to south Mumbai. After a quick tour of Victoria’s station, we went to Gateway of India and took the boat. Once on Elephanta Islande, a guide took care of us. He was very clear and made us discover a lot of very interesting information about the caves and Hindou religion. After that and a little tour in a fishermen village, we went back. Then another guide came for the city tour. We went to Marine Drive, Malabar Hill and Kamala Nehru Park. We also visited a beautiful Hindou temple before Malabar Hill. This entire day experience was wonderful !
