This was a brilliant way to learn about Indian culture in a relaxed, homey setting. JD is very attentive, answers all my questions about food (and Indian politics) and ensures you learn the method and how it shapes the flavours.

He very kindly arranged everything to fit around my (many) food intolerances at next to no notice. I’m very grateful for this, thank you JD!

Anchal's Indian cooking class was amazing. Her cooking studio is very well laid out to allow students to easily participate and learn as much as possible. Anchal's delivery is very clear, patient and well structured to suit all levels of culinary skill.
The 5 courses were created in good time by Anchal and we students and tasted the way they looked. Delicious. In addition, Anchal has shared the recipes and photos with us. The secrets, or at least some of them, of Indian spice combinations, now revealed!
    Highly recommended!

Saffron Palate was a unique experience right in the heart of south Delhi. A beautiful setting lent the backdrop for a really fun team-building activity on a cloudy March evening. Neha played the perfect host in her tastefully done up home along with her lovely mother-in-law who played judge to our concoctions!

Our group was provided with fresh ingredients to whip up delicacies and then our samosa-shaping skills were put to test. Neha’s garden terrace was well-equipped with fresh herbs to select from for an added freshness and to beautify the dishes with (an edible flower never hurt anyone!).

A neat and clean set up, aprons and chef's hats in tow, everything was laid out in a very professional manner. The dinner that followed was a nice home cooked meal.

All in all a much appreciated easy-going version of our very own Master Chef!

Many thanks to Neha and we hope to be back for more.

Best way to say farewell to India. I had a few hours before my flight in the afternoon so I decided to book the experience cause I wanted to experience the local life and flavours. Best travelling decision I have made so far. Both Roopak and Nidhi are so welcoming you immediately feel comfortable being there. They greeted me with traditional customs and we got to cook breakfast together. It turned out delicious too! We talked and exchanged information about our countries, they answered my questions about India, played quiz games, had chai (and got to keep the cup as a souvenir) and 4 hours went by without realising! Don’t sleep on it and just go. It’s absolutely worth it!

Host Neha Gupta is most friendly and informative! She allowed us to adjust the recipe to suit our unsophisticated western palates. Very relaxed and most enjoyable Evening. Would highly recommend it !

Had our cooking class today. We learned a lot, laughed a lot and ate a lot! Had a great time. They are very precise and kind in guiding us into the indian cuisine. We really enjoyed learning about the dishes but also the specific spices and the cultural use!

This was a great Cooking Class, and changed my approach to Indian cooking. I have tried to learn Indian cooking from books and television shows but it never really worked until I had hands on instructions in peoples homes. In this class, I learnt to make a classic spinach dish, eggplant and tomato, and biryani it was very helpful that we learnt two different types of biryani one chicken and one vegetable, so I can make an excellent dinner for my vegetarian friends. Since coming back home, I have made the spinach and eggplant dishes repeatedly and they are extremely popular. The family were very warm and kind and I just loved the whole experience. Recommended.

This was one of the most unique experiences ever! Our nonprofit board gathered in-person to make paneer masala, aloo ghobi, and paratha, while Chef Neha instructed us from her kitchen in Delhi. We were provided detailed ingredient lists in advance and live step-by-step instructions (and tips and tricks) to help our group co-create an amazing meal. Everyone was truly impressed with Chef Neha's knowledge and expertise. Will definitely be working with Saffron Palate again!
