What travelers are saying
- Steve_Grant1Oldham, UK1,865 contributionsThis is a very hectic and noisy market area. We toured it in a cycle rickshaw from just outside the entrance gates which was a great way to visit. On foot it may have been too overwhelming!Written January 6, 2025This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.
- Rohit ABucharest, Romania77 contributionsIt’s simply a perfect location to experience the local handmade things from various parts of India.
Artisans showcase their beautiful products and prices are reasonable but please negotiate a bit as they usually escalate.
Offers food stalls to enjoy different foods from different regions of India.

We came straight from the Red Fort and crazy Chawri Bazar, so Khan Market was a welcomed retreat. We bought lovely teas, perfumes, clothes and home accessories.Written November 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Sandy DMumbai, India1,110 contributionsEnjoyed shopping here. Though not as big as Lajpat Nagar or Sarojini markets - the items were fashionable and trendy. Good scope for bargaining too.Written March 17, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Tripadvisor performs checks on reviews.

- Madhulika LNoida, India6,871 contributionsWhen Shahjahan built the Red Fort in the latter half of the 17th century, the stretch of land between the main gate (Lahori Darwaaza) and the Naubat Khaana/Naqqar Khaana was built in the form of a covered market, Chhatta Chowk. Double-storeyed rows of shops flanked a broad central path, and an open octagonal section in the middle of the path, midway to the far end of the market, let in light and air. The shops would have sold the luxuries that would have been beloved of the fort’s occupants: jewellery, fine clothing, carpets, and so on.
Chhatta Chowk is one of the very few spaces in the fort that has retained its use. It’s still crowded with shops, and that too shops that don’t sell everyday things. It’s mostly all touristy trinkets, handicrafts, and things that make for good souvenirs.Written April 1, 2023This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. Huge market with easy connectivity of metro and all the other public transport. But be aware of cheap products and most of the products are copy of original products in the market.Written December 23, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - AMsaysThornhill, Canada5,133 contributionsThis huge market, built in the 17th C, encompasses 1,500+ and is the ultimate scene of chaos. It is Delhi’s oldest, busiest market where anything and everything is available. There’s something for everyone - moderately priced clothes, jewelry, candles, perfumes, lifestyle items, household items and so much more. It was named after a pool in the centre that reflected the moon, hence becoming known as Moonlight Square. I came here before the stalls and stores on very narrow streets were even open and I was still engulfed in human activities, noises, smells and sights. Watch where you walk – there are surprises everywhere.Written December 29, 2024This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of Tripadvisor LLC. - Amolak Rattan KNew Delhi, India2,895 contributionsA market which has evolved into very big shopping complex over the years. It is not a planned and structured place. The variety offered is mind blowing. Shops offer every thing to suit every budget. Even high fashion items are available cheaper than other markets.
