if you are in Ouarzazate you must go to Kart adventure.

the guys who work here are fantastic, the cars are fantastic and the trips....amazing.

we had the best time with these guys, friendly, informative and fun, took us to hidden gems.....even bumped into a camel and baby (not normal for the area).

i cant recommend these guys enough.... to be honest id prefer not to tell you about them so i can keep them to myself :) but honestly the highpoint of my Moroccan adventures and will 100% return as soon as my son has his driving licence.

let the photos do the talking.

A very spectacular road, which climbs to about 2000m, crossing the Atlas Mountains. Lots of hairpin turns, only one lane in each direction, quite difficult to overtake. The landscape is very beautiful in many places, along the route.

The Taourirt Kasbah is a magnificent historical site that should not be missed. This former palace of the Glaoui family is a prime example of Moroccan architecture, with its intricate designs and impressive fortifications. The kasbah offers a fascinating glimpse into the past and the opulent lifestyle of the ruling class in Morocco.

Walking through the maze of rooms and courtyards, you can feel the history come alive. Each corner of the kasbah has its own story to tell, with beautifully decorated walls and stunning views of the surrounding area. The well-preserved interior features traditional Moroccan decor, including exquisite tile work and carved wooden ceilings.

The staff at the kasbah were very knowledgeable and friendly, providing insightful information about the history and significance of the site. There were also a few vendors selling local crafts, adding to the overall experience.

It's so important to choose the right company when taking a tour in this region, with so many tour companies available to choose from this can be a difficult task. Oasis Aventure is the brother duo of Youssef and Said, is an option a would not hesitate to endorse. We organized the tour with Youssef, who answered all our questions and was a very prompt communicator. Said was our driver, very knowledgeable of the area, flexible within reason for stops for photos and best of all a good guy you don't mind being trapped in a vehicle with for hours. Their Toyota Land Cruiser was in great condition and a very comfortable ride off road.

If you like little quirky musuems or if you want to learn more about Berber culture or about kasbahs, you have to check this out. Run by one guy, a former teacher, who will give you a personal tour of the exhibits, maybe with his three-year old tagging along. No fixed admission cost; make a contribution to the museum when you are done. Definitely worth it.

While driving from Marrakech to Ouarzazate over the High Atlas Mountains, our bus stopped to view the Kasbah of Tifoultoute.

Dating from the 17th century, this kasbah is a good example of mud brick construction found in the arid areas south of the High Atlas. For the first half of the 20th century is was owned by Thami El Glaou, also known as the Lord of the Atlas. He was infamous and disliked in this area for being a collaborator with the French while they ruled Morocco. He assisted them to overthrow the conspired with them to overthrow of the Sultan.

The viewpoint provided a very picturesque view of the kasbah and the snow capped mountains behind it. I would have liked to have time to visit the kasbah.

One of the most authentic moments on our trip through Morocco. This small gem of a museum is the initiative of Abdelmoula Elmoudahab who is dedicated to keeping Amazigh culture alive for young Moroccans. When we arrived he was out but came rushing back to meet us and take us on a tour of his special project. . He is extremely knowledgeable and gave us such an interesting insight into Amazigh culture which he is passionate about. It is well worth a visit and an important cultural project.

Not at all what we expected. This old, unused movie studio has been converted into a sort of cinema museum. Large rooms done up as movie sets from films made here in Ouarzazate. Mostly Italian B films but not all. There are enough artifacts to make it worth a visit once we realized that this was not a sleek, modern museum detailing the history of cinema or even cinema in Morocco. It has a makeshift but quaint feel about it. Charming in its own way.

Just to clarify - it's not possible to visit (or even get a close view of anything) here. Also, I've traveled past 4 times this year and not once has the mesmerizing solar tower been operating.
