Although I was covered in sweat from the humidity, it was only a moderate walk up the stairs and I had many nice conversations with other tourists on the way. It’s definitely worth the time.

Well presented and well cared for exhibits. Unlike most museums in Vietnam. Helpful guides were also available. Perhaps nowadays they could offer for sale USBs, instead of DVDs, that explain the museum and exhibits in a video.

HCMC city to Vung Tau ferry in what was a very hot day.......midday trip......ferry was full but thank god it was very cool inside..........
Trip took two hours and went fast enough.......
Can get refreshments at the back of the ferry, and can go outside and grab some fresh air.
Young staff at the cafe at the port were pretty all over the place,I wonder is it some care in the community initiative, I was surprised they could even manage to work the cash register........
    Expensive beers before I start!

Vung Tau Lighthouse was a very important destination on our schedule. It is located on the top of Nho mountain (Tao Phung mountain). However, the sun was very hot and most of us forgot to bring our sun hats, so we had to take some motorbikes to go up there. Although the motorbike drivers looked very old, they drove around really fast. Despite not being able to climb the mountain with our own feet, we could feel the cool air and the gentle breeze on our faces while traveling on the motorbike. Upon arrival, I felt overwhelmed by the beautiful scenery of Vung Tau from above. The large, high-rise buildings, along with the clear blue sky and the calm sea, were all very stunning. I feel very jealous of the Vung Tau locals because I have always loved nature. In Hanoi, interactions between people and nature are very rare because Hanoi is the capital of the country, so it has to develop and exploit the surrounding nature and resources more. In the distance stands the statue of Lord Jesus along with Minh Dam mountain, both looking extremely great and impressive. Visiting the Vung Tau lighthouse is indeed a wise and highly recommended choice for tourists.

Great place for a night time walk. Night life on the beach front is exciting, plenty of places to eat within walking distance. Right down the street from the Diamond Sea hotel.

Nice quiet beach daytime, but mobbed by locals once the sun gors down. Very shallow for hundreds of metres so huge beach at low tide. Very clean sand, but watch your exposure time if sun bathing, as the sin is very strong, so maximum 30 minutes is advised!!

That area of Vung Tau is magnificent by walk or motor scooter, right on the waterfront and the statue of Jesus christ sitting on the water side of the mountain... There, are just so many wonderful spots around Vung Tau... Or favourite place once a year from Bali Indonesia

A well kept secret. An excellent and inexpensive day trip from Saigon by public ferry down the Saigon river to Vung Tau.
About a 2 hour trip each way, wending through high rise buildings to swamp areas and finally across the open sea to Vung Tau.
The fast ferry gets along a a good high speed in confort.
The cost is approx 200000 dong each way.
We found it a great day trip

Every Australian should experience a walk through the rubber and banana plantations of Long Tan to pay respect to our own soldiers who gave their lives in the hours of battle in Long Tan. There are tours but you can also speak to Bill Lamb at The Night Bar in Vung Tau. He was a Tunnel Rat back in 1970's.

A well maintained wide and tiled corniche along the crescent waterfront, for about 2 km...a pleasant walk indeed. Great views over the waterside; fishing boats, beach, park, open bay, along the walk. Likewise, looking to land across the broad boulevard was interesting; hotels, parks, restaurants, mountains, shops, etc.
Great way to stretch the legs after a long trip!

First off an interesting and now rather peaceful spot to visit.

Second, the reviewer describing an easy walk is a smug virtue signaler.

It’s a long way to the top. The beginning is relatively gradual and takes you down an inhabited section of road that stinks of garbage. From there it’s up up and long and hot hot. Only time to do it would be very early AM.

I rode my motorbike up there and it took a few minutes.

Another reviewer mentioned squatters and litter. That seems to have been addressed. Site has been cleaned up and squatters gone.

Worth a visit. The is a little roadside cafe down the hillside about halfway. Nice lady running it, nice views.

The tide was too high so we did not cross the path. But even if the tide was lower, the path is very rocky.
