There is a nice spot off the beach between Buri Rasa and Panviman that has good restaurants, few shops, pharmacies, laundry, barber, nail salon, bars, vehicle rental, 7-11, and a fantastic food court with a massive selection of dishes all between about 80-150 baht. Beach itself is gorgeous and the water is crystal clear and no marine life to hassle you. There is a volleyball net and also a bar selling food and drink, with a pool table etc.

A first class gym all round. When there are stadium fights you can join the teachers and other students and experience seeing pros really go at it. A cool novelty to have a sand bar connecting the two islands. Shakti Yoga has very kindly given me a transferable voucher for 70% of the cost of the retreat that can be used until 31/10/23 provided there is availability on the course dates. The original cost was THB42,000. There would still be a need to pay around THB13,000 to the retreat, but given I can't attend, I am happy to donate the 70% voucher to anyone who would like to attend provided a charitable donation can be made for a portion of the value of the voucher to a mental health charity here in Thailand. - Philippa B9 contributionsI was island hopping in Thailand for six weeks with my husband and needed to work out… I visited 7 different Muay Thai gyms for the morning fitness session from 8 - 10 and its fantastic that everywhere you visit they all have a drop in class. For me it was quite scary at first but always once inside these people are just so friendly. I loved this gym so much big and airy and the fitness class was the best I experienced, really worked you hard but its up to you how hard you work also. The training staff were excellent, very friendly, smily and very professional. I did have to buy a Phanang gym vest as I was so proud of working out here… there all all the weight machines etc etc if you don’t feel like the Muay Thai class or training. - Aida KBangkok, Thailand11 contributionsVery nice beach. It's a very difficult walk from Haad Rin. Wear good shoes. Use mosquito repellent and have 2 litters of water. Walk in groups of 2-3 people. It takes more than 2 hours. Watch for weather change. No stable Wi-Fi or mobile connection. We are looking for nice beaches, quiet place , swimming / snorkeling. Is Ko Phang Ngan a good place for that (when there is no full moon) - or just leave the island for party goers and stay on Samui / Tao?

You guys don't know Samui that well then, there are lots of nice quiet beaches on Samui and it's not all commercialized!
Parts of the north coast, the west coast and south coast have just as nice beaches as KP~! IMO
The area I live now in the SW area is not a lot different that parts of KP!!! I really noticed that when I went over to KP in July.
