I went here twice in a day, first during daylight to read and see the well laid chronological storyline and the preserved memorabilia and then in the evening, to watch the light and sound show. Both were free of charge.
It is an extremely informative and heart-wrenching story detailing the atrocities faced by the Punjabis leading to the mass massacre at Jallian wala bagh.
The entrance is marked by a statue of strength in white stone

The museum is walking distance from the Golden Temple. Entry fee is Rs 10. Photography is not allowed. The museum shows pictures, maps, hoardings, newspaper coverage, pamphlets, artifact's, currency, articles during the partition. There are videos of people who have seen the partition describing what they have faced. English, Hindi and Punjabi are the languages which describe how the partition took place.

Dhan Baba Buddha ji. He's a cool guy. He did a lot of seva for the gurus and worked hard. He deserves a lot of recognition for what he's done.

    Durgiana Temple
Built in the third decade of the 20th Century, it echoes not only the traditional Hindu temple architecture but that of the Golden Temple and in a similar manner rises from the midst of a tank and has canopies and the central dome in the style of the Sikh temple. Hindus rever this temple for its calm ambience surrounded by Sarovars. There is no ticket. Shoes must be removed. Gates of temple diety open at different times. Wheel chair friendly. Worth a visit to seek lord Krishna blessings.

I have been to three Gurudwara so far Namely Golden temple in Amritsar, Takht Shri Saheb in Patna and Shree Bangla Sahab in Delhi. I must say that all three visits created so much of respect for Sikhs. The amazing peacefulness, devotion and true spirit to serve in the of God just touched my heart. No hassles, no haggling, no politics, every person gets a fair chance to spent time their. Golden temple was the first of the gurudwaras and I would want to visit there again and again.

If you are in Amritsar this should be on the top of your "to do" list. This beautiful Sikh temple, notwithstanding the crowds of people, is so serene. You may have to push your way through the crowds, you may have to queue for long times but it's worth it. Do not miss.

Really beautiful gurudwara, same layout out at Golden Temple, though the sarowar here is quite huge. It’s tagged as the largest sarowar gurudwara in the world. The gurudwara is 45 mins by road from Amritsar and absolutely worth a visit.

Constructed under the chief minister Mr Badal 's time it is over a huge area and a huge sarovar. The Sri Valmiki Temple is imposing, but others are neglected. It is a waste of huge resources.
