This is a beautiful and clean park in a dramatic setting where you can see all sorts of birds of prey - eagles, hawks, owls, and, of course, Andean condors.
The takeoff point is a stone pavilion from which a staff member launches owls, eagles, and harriers out over a vast valley, and the birds soar out towards the distant mountains.

Short walk from our B&B Lots of stairs and cobblestone walkway Lots of bathrooms along the trail Prepare to get wet if you want to get close but well worth it It’s free but they do take donations to help
We took a tour that had a stop in this waterfall... It's a small walk to get to the falls but you are rewarded with a beautiful Eucaliptus forest and then the waterfall.

The tree has been an important ceremonial tree for the indigenous community of Pucará Alto and the greater indigenous population of Otavalo for many generations.
Quite a nice walk of roughly 5 km mostly uphill, but the tree really is a majestic being.

To hike the entire trail takes about 5--6 hours but even just hiking short distances will provide you with spectacular vistas of the laguna/volcano and the valley of Otavalo and Cotacachi.
Although it was a typically windy day when I hiked, there was a lot of protection from the lush foliage, including a great variety of beautiful flowers.
