What travelers are saying
- foreverTel Aviv, Israel72 contributionsWorth to be there for nice views. There is road to drive there , but we preferred to walk. The walk combines stairs and trail uphill.Written June 22, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Marta LPoland4 contributionsPerfect and beautiful place. Sea is very clean and nice to swimm and snorkel. Visit it if you come to croatiaWritten June 19, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Beatriz MDüsseldorf, Germany5,111 contributionsTaxi boats to Mlini beach on one of the Pakleni islands are plenty leaving from the harbour in Hvar town, the round trip costs 50 kuna per person. They leave at like 10, 11 AM and start to come back at 16, 17 and then 18 and 19 PM. Always on the full hour. The colors of the water are indeed very nice but there are not many places to lay down, I had to put my things between the large rocks which was uncomfortable. As I spend most of the time in the water, for me it is not worth it to pay for sunbeds. There was not much on the island as well, there were restaurants. You had to pay 2 kuna to use the bathroom (coins needed), I preferred to wait until someone was going out and then hold the door. It is a nice option because the beaches on Hvar town are not that amazing and busses to other beaches are not really running often.Written August 19, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- DaveofRugbyRugby, UK19 contributionsWalked past this restaurant a few times while in Hvar, attracted by the menu, the location and the friendly guy outside. Thankfully eventually enjoyed a very good meal inside. The carpaccio starter and beef stew with gnocchi were superb. Unfortunately the pancakes for desert were not freshly made. Overall a very good experience, if you’re happy with “relaxed” serviceWritten October 12, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- pfefmeisterSan Francisco, CA2,530 contributionsI fell in love even before I got off the ferry. We stayed three days and would have stayed a month. Gorgeous harbor with boats of every character peppering the turquoise harbor water. A wonderful promenade wanders past restaurants, bars, and coffee shops. A huge square is anchored by a old church which announces each hour by bell. The promenade continues to lead you it of town, along rocky coves and perfect pools to plunge in. Honestly, the energy, the beauty, the ambiance - it’s beyond great. One of my new favorite places.Written June 2, 2022This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- JohnH3759Harrogate, UK460 contributionsAt the end of the harbour area this is well worth a visit even if you just see it from the outside. Very intersting buliding and area.Written October 15, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Beatriz MDüsseldorf, Germany5,111 contributionsThis beach is about 20 minute away on foot from Pokonji Dol beach through a rocky path but most of it is flat so it was not a huge problem however good shoes are adviced. The beach is less crowded but also smaller so if a lot of people get the same idea to go there, it can become a problem. There is no restaurant or bar or sunbeds so you have to bring your own stuff. The water was of a beautiful color. Some comments here mentioned nudists and voyeurs but I did not see any of this when I was there. Just families and clothes people, no problems.Written August 20, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MitziMarmotCasper, WY1,630 contributionsThe Cathedral sits at one end of the pretty square in town. It was interesting to learn that the reason for the two different sizes of doors was that the large doors were for the "important" people and the smaller doors were for the commoners.Written February 9, 2020This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Kim CLondon, UK14 contributionsAvoid mid-day when the sun is at it's hottest for the climb up to the fort. It is 50kr to get in and although not a lot to see inside, the views are spectacular and the history makes interesting reading.Written October 4, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Dawn1897169 contributionsso many nice swimming spots around Hvar. Lovely clear water. All pebble/ rock beaches so bring water shoes. The beach near the town is small but fine spot for spending the afternoon in the sun. You have to pay for the loungers so we just lay on towels.Written September 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- Nora Nelis20 contributionsA small gem, worth your time, make sure you combine it with the Tower clock and the Loggia. They also sell some nice crochetworks which support them as well, would recommend visiting this with a guideWritten October 10, 2021This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC. - Kreso BMaribor, Slovenia172 contributionsa real piece of paradise, you can get there if you're sailing near the Pakleni islands across the city of HvarWritten July 23, 2017This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- MarkCheshire, UK96 contributionsMe and the Mrs are in our 50s and have never quad biked before. Loved it. And a great way to see the island of Hvar; Stari Grad, Vrboska, Jelsa and then all the way up to the highest point of the island (signposted) close to Brusje. So come on, get off that sun bed and give it a go!Written September 26, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
- GregCambridge, UK5,209 contributionsDefinitely a spot for the partygoers of the island with its bars in close proximity. Pleasant views of the sea and moored boats and yachts can be found here.Written August 10, 2019This review is the subjective opinion of a Tripadvisor member and not of TripAdvisor LLC.
